Moving up again today..nearing $3.40 basis July. COPX (copper miners) ETF still not moving up at all. 30 year mortgage rates soaring above 4% now ? That's ominous for real estate and home building.

Now back up to +3.5. Huge tug of war going on here. It almost "feels" as though there is someone trading quite large on the long side.

Equities recovered today....but guess who did not ? We are down 10 cents now.

Resources did well, eh ? Well, Big Ben's big mouth has the red metal down nearly 10 cents in early trading. Same old, same old: end of QE soon, weak demand from China.

The hot air is the QE effect. If you believe in QE-Infinity, then shorting anything is a bad idea....as the sheer volume of liquidity lifts all "boats". Otherwise, the moment of truth will arrive when either QE is removed or it is no longer is effective. Another possibility is that QE sparks...
