Copper down 3 cents this morning. CNBC had a piece about China's "overbuilding" problem.....too many houses/apartments standing around unoccupied. Whew, that should dampen copper demand....no more construction.

See ? Dow up huge today, and this is holding copper at the $3.20 level. This guy should be way below $3.00 IMHO.

Thanks for that. Uptrend still in-tact, but interestingly this chart looks almost identical to that of copper 8-12 weeks ago. It looked strong and then the fundies too over and down it went. So now the question, which to short: hogs or cattle ?

We had somewhat of a breakdown today....after quite a run-up. Any opinions about direction from here ? Will a weaker economy have any impact on demand ?

Interesting "save" today for the red metal. Twas down 4 cents and came back to even in the roaring US equity snap-back rally. This market is having a hard time determining which way to look at the US Economy: half-empty or half-full ??!!!

We've sliced thru the $3.20 level on the downside. Copper is really painting a weak picture now.

We are down 4 pennies this morning despite precious metals holding near the flat line and equities are positive. I think the thoughts weakness in China are finally starting to sink in.

This has just gotta be the way to go. $3.40 appears to be a huge resistance level...

Copper taking a bit of a hit here today. Very strange price action.....as it was even before the employment report. The decent report marked the metal down. Is that because of expectations for the Fed to end QE ? Could be.

Well, well, well...that latest rally was as phony as a red cent. We are down 6 cents this morning and the copper miners ETF (COPX) is now reaching for 10-even. There just had to be some short covering happening the past 2 weeks.

It's the data feed....you are missing about 8-10 ticks in that first chart. re: Tradestation - I remember they used to plot the last price continuously if no new data was arriving. That may be the case here as well. It will be manifested by a horizontal line.
