    But what about copper ?

Thanks Bone. The key right now to lower prices is higher inventory levels at the London Metals Exchange (LME). They (strangely) continue to drop.

    But what about copper ?

May contract now the lead. Down a penny this morning. LME Stock levels remain low at 274,350 tons. That's the only thing holding this market up.

    But what about copper ?

Temporary and spurious. A strong S&P 500 implies future economic growth and strength for HG. As recently mentioned, the "shadow" inventories are throwing a monkey wrench into this market.

    But what about copper ?

LME website finally fixed. Copper stock levels at 282,475 tons....which is very low.\ However, prices are off 2-3 cents this morning. So the selling pressure remains in place for now.

    Daily Hottie

That's what I say about most of my over-40 website dates. Beauties now gone ...."big". They hide their weight on the internet very well....no one gives the vital "stats"....and if you ask, you are toast. Catch-22 maximus. Worst site: okcupid.com. 2 out of 100 are OK.

    But what about copper ?

Huge US Equity market rally has cut the losses in half for copper. I suspect the stock levels have begun to rise on the LME. However, I am unable to check the stock levels on the LME....I keep getting "Internal Server Error". Anyone else experience this ?

    But what about copper ?

Copper down huge this morning. Finally, the chickens are coming home to roost and the market is embracing the grim realities of a worldwide economic slowdown. Wow, this took 6 months to develop.

    But what about copper ?

Price action today (down at open, now even with strong US equity market) indicates that short copper is a bet against improved economies throughout the world. In other words, copper will likely NOT go down if we see a decent recovery in Europe and better numbers out of China. On the other...

Better setup for heavy use Excel

Yeah but that will improve on the speed only if his workbooks are huge. Did he state their size ? AFAIK Excel will only utilize one core of a multi-core processor. The only way to take advantage of multicore is to run multiple instances of Excel.exe - each in a different core. Finally, has...

    But what about copper ?

After that horrible US construction report, the red metal is barely moving down ? UNBELIEVABLE. Who's holding this piece of crap up ?

http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?t=280812&page=3 Shadow inventory.....keeps visible inventories low.

Record-level metals storage in ‘shadow warehouses’

Look....based on the emerging market crisis, copper should be WAY under $3.00. But it continues to hold day after day....and LME stock levels continue to decline. This really does give an appearance of the stocks moving from "visible" to "hidden". Net result: Copper supplies APPEAR to be tight.

    But what about copper ?

@toolazy: What were you drinking before making that post ? All of the energy and activity involved in construction and then they close the place they just built ? That's productive and sustainable ? Sorry, no way...that's bogus economics....that's what's happening in China right now.

    But what about copper ?

But not today....strong 4 cent move upwards. Once again, the LME stock levels remain low (303,825 tons)....not good, not good.

    But what about copper ?

A couple of months back this market was in fairly steep contango. Now it's flattish....and that action presumably indicates a stronger market in the future.

    But what about copper ?

This is EXACTLY the case....the word "artificial" SO MUCH depicts this market. As you see in my prior posts, I keep asking "Who's holding this market up ?" At one point I thought Michael Farmer was doing it..... Once the $3.00 is broken, it's "lights out" for this commodity.

Second Bitcoin Exchange Halts Customer Withdrawals

What a bunch of bozos....they didn't subscribe to CloudFlare or other anti-hacking service ? Even I have it for my blogsite !! Are they being cheap or stupid ?

    But what about copper ?

Interesting price action today....down a penny or two, then up a penny or two.....on news of continued Fed stimulus. The Fed put is now on every one's mind....so it's "go long" for everything (except bonds).
  20. syswizard

    But what about copper ?

That's a joke, right ? The price action has been positively terrible lately....choppy, trendless. Interestingly, LME stock levels continue to go lower.....which is very puzzling: Now at 306,400 metric tons. I believe this is the sole reason the price has not plunged...(yet). When stock...
