Not the 1st time under water, lose some, win some, hopefully win more, stay happy, positive & never give up :) Funny enough, again not the first time manage to analyse longer term chart correctly, but fail to profit from analyses

Oldtrader, you said when market "blows through", at 9.13 & 9.20am I fail to see how exactly price has blown through, TY! Lonf 1420 off 1 & 2, stop near 1418 :)

I did already. These NEW rules that Buy1Sell2 has created do not mean that there is no stop, the man himself has been using a percentile stop for how many years exactly? Now, because he feels the urge for a change, he makes rules of hard stops for all. No disrespect intended, but as far...

I have said it before, I use an area where I make a decision whether to pull or continue, I made that post specifically to confirm trade still being there at good time, what was the low at 9.13 & 9.20? TY!

Nothing Beats Price Action, Everything Else is Derivative

No, you misunderstood what I meant. Unlike some, I don't switch from one method to another continuously, I stick to 1 only, but that's just to clarify what I do. "nothing beats price action" is a shallow statement, as for every tool and price only is also a tool you need a master to use that...

I am waiting on 1m histo to put in a bull pattern, but we are below S1, should I have a cup of tea? :) Long 1420 off 1 & S1, stop 1418.75

It's about figuring out a way, there is no THE way, so all chest beating in favour of price action only can relax ImPO :)

    ES Journal Archive (2006 - 2008)

"...need to contain a hard stop...." Why? TY! After all, your stops are 5+ points and others stops are near 1-2, surely enough to justify an extension of a stop by 0.25!. What's a better way is to ask people to finish a posted trade in real-time, otherwise to be discarded. Nothing wrong with NOT...

Nothing Beats Price Action, Everything Else is Derivative

As far as I understand it I am not THAT different from your way of risk management by basically limiting losses & by being stubborn in the face of consecutive losses (at times) as long as I remain rational about the set-up still being present. Hate 'em BOTs, they are rotten SOBs. Worst...

TOM, cheers, although it wasn't what I would call an easy trading session, on last trade I also pulled a trigger upon -.50 in red, but as I have told you before as long as signal is valid & it was indeed valid on 3m chart, just kept getting more & more 'bloated', then it popped, nice one...

Nothing Beats Price Action, Everything Else is Derivative

It's been a funny period, sometimes I take quite a beating to finally equalise EOD. I guess my style is better suited to faster pace markets, so last 3 months have been a tad shitty over here, maybe I drink too much tea :) Whilst DAX gone into some crazy p/a mode I made a switch to ES, I think I...

240 is now looking like a possible quad D confirmed by negative hammer off 1441 rejection zone. Not so much confirmed as yet, perhaps initiated is a better word.
