Oh boy, overslept again :) Levels should have been 1064.75-1071 Instead they are 1064.75 - 1073, targets 1056.50 for short & 1081.25 for long

Trend still up on Weekly, perhaps this is not the best of places to initiate a long position, nevertheless if one was to go long here, then would it be correct to have stops below 1.4700 (see Daily chart)

Are you still holding this one? Could you please explain how you establish when to enter into a trade if the Weekly trend is up? I see in this Euro trade you entered upon a HL & marked stop to previous reaction low. Is that your regular strategy or do you use discretionary decisions how &...

I have not. And the reason is that first 30 minutes can be quite volatile. But I would say it is pretty doable using 1-1.5 points opening range, forgetting the 30 minutes. For example, price opens 1000, goes to 1001, you go long 1001.25 & short 999.75. Long target 1004.25 & short target 996.75...

Here is a question that will prove me wrong if answered. Can anyone find a chart of ES whipsawing 10 times within a 1.5 point range? Range starting 9.30 Eastern :)

How you progress is up to you. You can borrow certain good points & leave out the risky ones. Trading without an edge, is it possible or is it a fairy tale? Amigo, the poll asks - will I win or lose by end of November 2009 using this method. I believe that I won't lose :)

First of all I should have clarified it is £2000 so $3200. I am dealing in GBP, just converting as this is mainly a US board. You should never play with leverage whilst being undercapitalised. That's how FX people make money offering low margins.

You have narrow stops, others use wide stops, some use no stops :) EUR up we go!

That's an evil cousin of 'till death do us apart' :)

Once price goes past 2:1 you have 2 obvious choices either to wait 'till death do us apart' ie let it run as far as you can & then lock gain or if you are wrong trail stop to 2:1.

There is nothing wrong with taking profits early, as long as 2:1 has been reached. I took what was 'clearly' available at the time. P.S. or even 1:1 as in your case, to protect capital.
