    Silver price debate

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/silver-gains-favor-as-an-investment-asset-2012-12-07?pagenumber=1 Very emotional and heated exchange here. IMHO this is all about deflation vs. inflation. Current pricing reflects the latter. Which one will win ?

    IB TWS Accumulate/Distribute Algo

Same with their API. They've been saying they are trying to improve it....FOR YEARS now.

IB TWS taking a lot of memory

Well, what ThinkOrSwim did was to bundle the JRE into their installation and that would insure their platform was running on the exact release they had tested on. So they would start from the javaw.exe that was bundled. IB should probably do the same.

IB TWS taking a lot of memory

gmst - has IB Tech support endorsed running with the latest Java 7 release ?

IB TWS taking a lot of memory

I thought IB had a recommended release of Java to use for each TWS version and that new versions of Java could actually cause problems if they had not tested with that version. Is anyone running TWS on Java 7 ? http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html

    But what about copper ?

After a few days of head-faking upwards, copper is taking quite a hit today. Down 5 cents. Anyone know of news that would have sparked that move ?

HFT - Continues to be scapegoated

When, oh when, are the politicians going to learn they don't know much about anything ? http://www.foxbusiness.com/on-air/willis-report/blog/2012/12/04/cftc-study-high-frequency-traders-are-ripping-small-investors#

    But what about copper ?

Gold and silver taking a hit today...down 2+%. Copper now independent of these metals. Who or what is holding copper up here ? US Housing ? China ?

Short facebook. On Nov 14th, it will be trading under $10

FB went from 29 to 27 today alone ? Wow, what a move. Ominous. It appears all of the recent move up was shortcovering.

    Selling China

phantom - I like your thinking. Reason: it will have major effects on the price of copper. Copper has tanked recently, but it held support ($3.40). Long term chart shows an ominous "wedge"....with a breakout in one direction or the other likely. Europe is already near death, but that only...

    The Prison Trader

Interesting. Been there too. My sister-in-law, an attorney, actually put me there. Now, I'm on the road back there due to a crummy attorney who ripped me off, and I'm threatening him with harm. LE is now on my tail. What a load of B.S. Guess I've got to outsmart both of them...and that is...

1/4% Tax on all stock trades pushed in NY Times today

Look. This is all B.S.. These politicians are looking for an easy fix to the mess they created. Their first order of business is to find "scapegoats" like HFT firms they can blame for the problems they created. Just more lawyers conning their way thru the "system". What a load of B.S.

    But what about copper ?

And HGZ2 hit 3.63 today. Yet there are 13 million mortgages near or under water. Not good for housing, or the building sector. The bullish case remains quite weak IMHO....especially given Europe's condition. China's the wild card in this speculation.

    But what about copper ?

HGZ2 hit $3.60 today, a nice run-up. Reflation theme appears to be taking hold. What a battle !: The deflators vs. the reflators.
