EURO against Nasdaq, GBP against S&P?

I see... so definately more as a hedge than a planned spread. Have you thought of (or ever done it) as a spread on purpose? Last week I did it from the long side.. in that case, bought 1 euro and 3 nq.. worked out well... am now short the same, and am a little in the whole... was just...

EURO against Nasdaq, GBP against S&P?

How did you come up with 2 ES and 5 EUR? Are you using the 125000 Euro contracts, or the smaller ones? Thanks again.

EURO against Nasdaq, GBP against S&P?

Has anyone done any trading of the Euro or GBP against Nasdaq or S&P 500 ? For instance, the dollar has been down heavily the last few days. This usually coincides with the U.S. stock markets declining. However, they really haven't. Could we just short Euro or GBP futures, and also short NQ...

    Market These Days

It's nice to see some markets with some action. Parts of June, most of July, and all of August have been quite nice. These have been nice markets. Enjoy them while they last!

Sell a forward contract on your house. Of course, you need to find a buyer who's happy to take delivery at some point far in the future. Really, I'm not sure.

The put up just shut up?

Different government, but take, for example, BOJ Yen/$ interventions, as a prime example of governments trying to stop a runaway train. Then again, Japan has lots of problems, and this is just one.

Crackedback, I am not a GWB fan, but I also know that intelligence manifests itself in many ways, only one of which is one's GPA. Remember Einstein? Chasinfla, Thank you for your posts in this thread. They have been enlightening and refreshing.

    Our corrupt moronic "leader"

Chasi, When GWB first got into office, he came off as a dull minded, naive, arrogant man, who knew nothing of international relations and made one stupid move after another (Kyoto, ABM treaty, etc.). The only relief to the country's embarrassment has been the fact that he wasn't elected, but...

    Those annoying LSPD "traders"

Nasdaq market makers aren't required to honor their quotes beyond regular market hours anyway. Maybe they automatically set their quotes to ridiculous values at the extremes at market close, "just in case".

Gekko, What product(s) are you trading? And what size? Am I correct in assuming these are real and not paper trading?

    IB & Emini data today.

Dotslash is correct. Realtime is very hard, particularly with trade data when during periods of high volume, you can have hundreds or even thousands of trades or quote changes in just a few seconds, per product.

    E-mini Rookie Trading Journal

There is risk in all businesses, particularly startups. If you are not making a living doing it, then you are not doing it right. That might mean just not having enough startup capital or not having a business plan. If you take it seriously, and treat it like a business, you can make money at...

The Evolution of an E-mini Trader

Ouch. Leverage cuts both ways. Practice risk management, limiting downside exposure per trade to 1 to 2 % of account equity.
