There is a lot less liquidity in the QM that is why you think it is drying up. Most people are in the full size now.

You should be able to trade it tomorrow depending on your broker. Tomorrow is the final day of trading but you should be sure to close out your position just so you don't have to worry about the mechanics of settlement.

there are so many energy shops in houston but unless you are a recent grad going through a training program it usually takes around 4-5 years of doing other mid office crap before you can start to dabble in trading. try applying at Shell Trading, ConocoPhillips, bp, Constellation, Chevron...

unless you are going to be working for a shop trading phys gas that trading natural gas book is going to be a lot of useless information for you. and it is best to read that book after you work in a shop for a few months...

ICE trading for the oil products is the only thing that went "down" but the entire ICE platform was completely jammed up during that time period. The platform froze for many users and I believe that was the reason for the move in globex NG

people can flash orders in the DOM so be careful thiking there is a big buyer/seller at a certain number.

You see more volume during pit hours because most people who trade nymex products generally agree to trade during those times. The guys in the pits have lost a huge part of the edge they used to hold. The order flow the see is terrible and they get information after the rest of the world...

yes they call them tablets because they are tablet pcs. volume on the floor dried up almost the minute the phys contracts went on globex. the first guy pictured, COCO used to trade heating oil, but that picture looks like the crude pit.

for any traders out there not working in a shop.... is there a way to view what is going on in the cash/otc markets? Is ICE the only way to see this? Are individuals able to use the ICE trading platform? For view only or for actually trading (using a clearing house?)
