Great advice, but tough to implement: You want to be closing out profitable positions LATE (some give-back) and losing positions EARLY (prevent even more losses). Do the reverse, and the market will take you out of the trading business in no time flat.

Tradestation was the original platform which enabled RAD of strategies....you could write and test them literally in minutes. Multicharts is the successor. You've got to be able to program however.

Really ? I have 7 windows open, each with about 5 tabs on the average. 400 megs used. Seems my Flash plugin has a problem....it shows "crashed" in several tabs.

After updating one of the plug-ins (Java), CPU consumption now has fallen considerably. Also, it may be that long sessions are not good for Firefox...i.e. it needs to be restarted from time-to-time....like daily...even for Version 10.
