    But what about copper ?

Silver up a whopping 5% today yet copper is a "no go". With the recent poor earnings announcements, economies around the world are going nowhere fast. Without wage growth, there can be no sustained inflation. So precious metals are going nowhere without inflation, a terrorist attack or a war.

XKeyscore: NSA tool collects 'nearly everything a user does on the internet'

Welcome to our country which is now a police state. Those poor people got a visit because they were LOGGED IN to Google and Google does share their data with the NSA. If you don't log into Google, they can't "see" your browsing history. Who else shares their data with the NSA ? Yahoo...

When will the China bubble pop?

I see some of my "What about copper ?" followers are posting here. Interesting article. A construction slowdown in China cannot be positive for the price of copper. I think copper should be under $3/lb, but "someone" continues to hold it up. The fundamentals are just not good.

Guys - what could cause the USD to weaken ? I'm thinking that inflation would do that. What else besides a war ? The upcoming fiscal crisis in DC ?

    Yen strength

Unbelievable. This is looking and feeling just like the guaranteed Euro-USD trade where the Euro was supposed to go to parity to the USD. Right. And short copper was supposed to be "free money" as well. Heck, it zooming up today on positive news from China.

Can anyone help me out and explain why the Yen is zooming relative to the USD ? Is this just a temporary move ?

    But what about copper ?

Zooming up this morning on news from China. See ? Told ya so. It's all about China. Unless that was a one-time event, the short side of copper is not looking like a great position. I think it'll be a trading affair for a while...up and down. No major moves for some time.

    But what about copper ?

Yes I agree. This trade is like the Euro trade everyone was talking about last year....where the Euro currency was supposed to crash. Well, one year later and it NEVER HAPPENED. Why ? Everyone was expecting it to go down. This is looking very much the same. It's going to take quite an...
