cramer calling for a melt up.

I also remember Cramer and the rest on his site being *very* bullish at the end of 2000. The place is like a bird cage with a talking parrot and a bunch of parakeets. bullishhhh...bullishhhh...bullishhhh

    Why actively trade ETFs?

The point I was trying to make is that I don't see much low/med risk stuff out there. But that doesn't mean I *have* to trade something. I think the whole market is essentially screwed for awhile and the best thing to do is wait it out. Just conserve your capital 'till better opps. come along.

    Why actively trade ETFs?

Considering the risk one is taking, I don't think any of these positions make any sense. If a profit is made its just lady luck. Nothing wrong with your analysis. Just that this is a shit market to trade. The R/R just isn't there and it's not like there's lots of opportunity elsewhere. This...

MSFT finally gonna put their Billions in cash to work?

Eventually there will be a search engine backlash if things keep going at this rate. Why? Because the services are only comercializing the crap out of the web and will turn it into an electronic yellow pages and nothing more. 2-3 years ago when you did a search for a subject, many relative...

Some commision realities about IB and Tradestation

If you can't buy/sell enough stock at your price, why blame the broker? What alternative do you have in mind? Seems to me if IB or TradeStation were FREE in terms of commissions, *some* people would still complain!

The Importance of a Good trading office

From this stupid dream of yours. Concentrate on college. Forget the market. This "professional" trading office may just help you in depleting your funds faster, that way you can work on your studies. With 6K you have no business in the market.

I could be wrong but most wireless operations don't "see profit" in rural Mexico. Very expensive infrastructure. It might be available in coastal regions though.

The tide is turning for the specialists!!!

This "thing" against specialists reminds me of the calls just 4-5 years ago by many retards to "deregulate" the energy/electricity markets. What was the result? Chaos everywhere! Were there any "savings"? Yeah, they went to Enron's attorneys. These mutual funds like Fidelity are simply trying to...

Other Markets to Trade -Evening Hours

This would be great but the problem seems to be the cost of commissions in some of these places makes trading almost prohibitive. With so much anger at NYSE specialists, the US market fee structure remains *very* competitive in comparison to the rest of the world.

Best Rates on German/European Share Trading

Thanks, I didn't realize the culprit is with the exchanges' fee structure. Too bad, because this prohibits certain strategies from working. Wonder what their purpose is in keeping fees so high?

Best Rates on German/European Share Trading

Could someone point out the best rates on trading European shares? Take Xetra for example, IB's rates of .1% of the transaction value still amounts to a hefty price. Several times more than their US rates in fact. Would appreciate good suggestions. Thanks!

    Shorts Outstanding

Shorts outstanding are pretty close to meaningless in a low interest environment. A hedge fund can carry a stock both long AND short simply to get around the uptick rule. This will therefore throw all "short interest" figures off. When interest rates are high this would certainly be less productive.

    Quadriga Asset Management

If you have an interview, then you must have applied there. If you applied there, you must know about them. Sounds like you just want to put their name here. Trying to get new clients? Anyway, they're not doing that great this year.

Stop Order Didn't Work on ETrade

1st, put in your order to buy at market OR limit. THEN, after your order is filled, put in a sell stop order at 18 IF the price is trading above that.
