On the other hand if you are interest in guaranteed investments you could purchase bonds based on the movement of major indices that offer little lower returns but total protection from losses and you are paid interest rates at maturity.

    Age?

The poll looks worring: nobody that started young seems to have made it past 34...and traders aged above 45 are very few, and they probably didn't start trading when 20yrs old  :(

    The case for a Q4 blow-off rally

Looks like if crude is gonna make a head & shoulder pattern and if that's the case I'll position short. Maybe this will be the time...

    The case for a Q4 blow-off rally

Sooner or later a trader, in order to become a promising one, will have to change his posture and realize that gloom&doom scenarios are not for real a common reoccurrence.

Change the tick increment in ES from 0.25 to 0.1

Still you made a mistake: 10 ticks with .1 tick size is a full point not 2.5.

    Realistic question when starting out...

Don't start using max leverage. Theoretically you should use no more than 60% of you total margin account to trade. And if you start with small size you can make more trades, gaining more exposure and accumulate invaluable experiences. After all there's no point in trading huge size if you...
