    Sweet tooth or fat tooth?

Actually people who crave sweets would probably benefit the most from a low carb diet. Sweet cravings are generally caused by insulin imbalance and diets like Atkins can correct that. I have a sweet tooth and the times I've been on Atkins it goes away almost completely.

    Near Death Experiences (NDE's)

OK, fair enough, you're basically saying that your belief, and therefore this thread, is based on a supposition on your part with no proof, and therefore, irrational. I can live with that.

I'm completely calm. Don't know why feel the need to respond as you do. Sounds like a fragile ego to me. But as I said, you're really not worth anymore time. Continue to lick the hand that feeds you.

You love the Straw Man, don't you? I wasn't the least bit offended by the fact that you have a different opinion. In fact, I wasn't offended at all. I was pointing out that you seem unaware of common logical fallacies is all. But you don't really seem worth discussing this with so I'll stop.

Here's another logical fallacy for you: ad hominem. So do you have any real arguments or just you just want to be insulting?

Straw Man is a well-known logical fallacy. Why is that so funny? Or do you get a kick out of being ignorant?

By the people who use the services. It's called free market economics. You have heard of toll roads, usage tax, etc.? Again, you distort my argument by presenting a straw man argument. I never claimed that shifting services to the private sector would preclude payment. But why are you so...

    Near Death Experiences (NDE's)

This is really just an argument from ignorance, i.e., the assumption that since something has not been proven false, it is therefore true. You are trying to shift the burden of proof on the skeptics. You want to assert that NDEs are proof of an afterlife but when we disagree your answer is...

BTW, another strawman: "sounds easy." I never said it would be easy but the right solutions rarely are.

Nice strawman but you said federal programs. Fire and police are not federal programs. Why can't roads be built by the private sector? Is your argument that the government could do it more efficiently? Yes, they all go except for the Constitutional mandates, which include courts, defense...

The S&P is looking very toppy

OK, I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. But answer a few serious questions. You claim to have, I think, a nine year track record of successful trading. So... 1) Why would you trade against a strong upward trend at this time? There have been no significant selling days in the...

    Near Death Experiences (NDE's)

Definition: Fallacious appeals to authority take the general form of: 1. Person (or people) P makes claim X. Therefore, X is true. Example: "There are currently about a dozen or so well-respected researchers (almost entirely non-Christian M.D.'s and Ph.D. psychologists) who are very...
