What does cycle trend line mean ?

Here is an update of the triangle drawn above. And, as usual, my posts are in realtime. I don't say this to sound arrogant, I state this to add to the realness of using trendlines (along with some other technical analysis) The chart attached here is the miniDow.

Would love to see a few bars consolidate at one of these lines. Consolidate meaning the bar sizes are small and somewhat inside each other. Then a breakout from these contracting bars/trendline will get me in the trade.

Has something changed? I see a couple posts back that someone refers to October 24 on the website showing a trade for YM but when I go to the website I only see data through 9/30 ? Thanks.

I don't understand. I looked at the results from the web site on YM for 2005 in the "<1.6" column and I see +732 points. Even after commissions this is a nice return. Are you looking at it as if trading all of the futures instruments as a combined total ?

Anyone else ? Did you have 10450 or 10451. I use Esignal. I think sidinuk uses TradeStation.

I'm curious: The system results for YM in August do not show a trade on the 26th. I see the opening bar of the day at a high of 10450 and then at approx 14:35 I see a tick at 10451 resulting in about a 48 point loss for the day. Does anyone else show this ?

I agree. Get at least 80's on practice exams. Should be scoring higher though. Also, keep in mind TIME on the practice tests.

A backtest using YM with the rules for the system as they are but for different years. Would like to see unfiltered and filtered 1999, 2000, 2001 results, etc.
