Hi Osiris, I do not trade 10mil at a clip yet, but that is my current goal. I am curious about other instruments to compare the costs and execution, and possibly adding them to my trading list. Regards, redduke

    Liquid and Volatile Instruments

Hello, I currently trade forex intra day. It is pretty liquid and has enough volatility, and I am curious about other financial instruments. Can you please mention what other instruments very liquid and volatile to be traded intraday on decent volume. When I talk about decent volume, I mean...

Forex CCI short intra day trading

    1) TLB short – this failed trade was my mistake. I did not notice that the spread has widened (probably due to London stock market opening at the time I entered the trade), and I also got 1 pip slippage. When spread widens something is happening in markets, and I usually say out until I can...

Forex CCI short intra day trading

I have added white line, which is my entry, and yellow line which, is an exit to the charts. 1) TLB short – turned out to be a great trade. It almost hit 20 pip profit (I have hard stop loss set at 20 pips), and I thought it was going down. Once I saw the move is over, the trade was done...

Forex CCI short intra day trading

01/20/2006 1) Ghost and TLB long – this turned out to be a great trade. I entered this trade as TLB (blue line), but it could have been entered earlier as ghost (while line). I had small draw down of 5 pips, but ghost entry had no draw down at all. This was a 20 pip trade.

Forex CCI short intra day trading

01/19/2006 1) TLB and regular divergence long – this trade ended up several pips in positive. 2) TLB short – turned out to be a great trade, but I closed it at BE because nothing was going on for few bars, and then it dropped 20+ pips. Need to be patient and wait for few more bars to...

Forex CCI short intra day trading

01/18/2006 It was a great morning. 1) TLB long – great trade, the market rallied up with no draw down at all. 2) TLB and famir short – another trade that worked out great. 3) ZLR short – it did go down, but it took few bars for sidewinder to turn yellow, so I did not take this one...

Forex CCI short intra day trading

I am starting this thread in order to share ideas about Woodie CCI trading for forex on short term basis. I came across CCI last September and still at learning curve. Spent few months on demo and currently trade real account at small pip value, since I am not at the stage where I am confident...

    ACD Discussion Forum

It is easy, Frankfurt opens (starts trading) at 1am EST, London at 2am EST, so the opening range is around this area. Mark Fisher sets the opening range for EUR, CHF and GBP at 2:30am-3:00am EST. Regards, redduke

Like I said before, I never traded a single lot of index futures, but want to explore the possibility of using these instruments. Thanks for the suggestion.

    E-minis Liquidity and Volatility question

What do you mean by getting arbitrage house being involved? The idea of arbitrage is to be on both sides yourself, and then profit from small variance, but arbitrage requires huge funds and there are not so many opportunities available. I might be wrong on the numbers of opportunities since I...

    E-minis Liquidity and Volatility question

Based on my experience, trading size in the market that you do not understand and never traded is one of the fastest ways to lose the money. Patience is a virtue, especially in trading. redduke

    E-minis Liquidity and Volatility question

Hi Tomcole, I never traded e-minis, and I do understand the importance of liquidity, that is why I asked my questions. I am not interested in spiking the market, what I need is to be able to do is to get in and out of positions when ever I need, since this is one of the requirements of the...

    E-minis Liquidity and Volatility question

Hi NihabaAshi, Thanks for this info. I am already monitoring all news on every major market. Failing to do it might be very costly if you trade forex. I do not trade the news, since it is impossible (at least for me) to consistently predict what the market will do after the number comes out...

    E-minis Liquidity and Volatility question

Spike500, I will definitely start much smaller and will probably start with Dow just to get some real experience with e-minis. Is there any e-minis instrument where such volume can be freely executed staring from 2:30am New York time. This is when forex opening starts, and this is when I...

    E-minis Liquidity and Volatility question

Sputdr, Thanks for the answer. No worry about me, not there yet, but working my way. It’s good to know, that an order around 1,000 contracts can be executed without moving the market at any time. One of the main premises of the system is liquidity. redduke
