    Options House is now junk!!

Shannon: Count me in on this request, except only the first part about grandfathering in people with the flat-rate. I have to believe there is some sort of standard that could be set where-as OH doesn't lose $ by letting existing users keep the old rate. Be it under X amount of contracts, or...

    Options House is now junk!!

This. Or something like this that allows existing customers to keep the old rate (or something real similar) and makes everyone happy. I'm sure there's some middle ground..

    Options House is now junk!!

And the first thing you'll see in that quote is that there is no fee on equity options. This has been pointed out by the OH CEO in interviews and discussed in threads here.

    Options House is now junk!!

Same as any other U.S. discount broker except their interface needs a complete reworking.. Looks like something from the 90s.

    Options House is now junk!!

As pissed as I am that they won't just let the existing customers keep the old rate, it actually isn't a bad business decision. (They have one of two rates you can switch between, the one above and one that's like $5 for up to 5 contracts and $1 per over 5) .. So they undercut TK/Zecco/etc etc...

Daytrading patten rule any way around it?

Nope, he was right. PDT applies to margin accounts only. Of course settlement becomes an issue. So to answer the OP's question: Use a cash account and daytrade options. Avoids the PDT rule and the problem with settlement.

    Cheapest brokers for options

The Peak6 relationship was actually recently addressed on another website/forum, see the link. http://www.theoptionsinsider.com/forum/posts.asp?id=285 They don't allow order routing which used to bother me, but lately I've been getting sent to CBOE primarily so I'm happy.

    Weird experience with Options House

I think this actually targets most "doubts" in this thread. http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid19384278001?bclid=11869491001&bctid=35775726001&utm_campaign=

    MTLQQ put?

Unless I'm mistaken, and something changed then you'll just have to keep thinking about it. MTLQQ is on the pink sheets and the options are available for closing orders only.

Who could write a "finder" for options with parameters I would specify?

The ones on most brokers I've ever used. This is one that one of my brokers uses: http://www.ivolatility.com/rtservice.j

Who could write a "finder" for options with parameters I would specify?

What's wrong with all the other options scanners that already exist?

    Weird experience with Options House

There is (as of last week) only one catch and it is only on index options. The exchange fees for those 5 or 6 index options are now passed through where as they didn't used to be. I don't trade index options so I could care less. I've never seen any exchange/per contract whatever fees. No catch...

    Weird experience with Options House

I've never traded mutual funds with OH so maybe it is different for those, but every trade (all are option trades) are logged and sitting in that bottom window labelled "Orders". From my first trade up through the one that expired at close today. The only thing I dislike about the orders window...

    "best" routing with TOS

I don't use TOS but that is fairly irrelevant. In my opinion though I would prefer CBOE. In order of where I want to go it usually is: CBOE->ISE->PHLX->ARCA->NOM->BOX .... It also depends on how many contracts are already sitting on any particular exchange, but for the most part I prefer CBOE...

    looking for good options broker

TK is better than Zecco. Zecco is the worst of them all. They've been known for having system downtime, over 24 hours turn around on email to the support desk, longer hold times if you call them etc etc.. If you're deciding between the two then go with TK. I remember reading a couple TK broker...

[B] Wait wait wait.. you mean the CBOE doesn't care about ME? .. As a person? .. Shit.. I'm crushed. Now what will I do for friends?!

    looking for good options broker

I just checked it out, it is very confusing to say the least... What I would be pretty sure of though is that IB and Peak6(OH) are either market makers or Member firm prop and if so they do have the sliding scale. What volume they do have per month, I cannot estimate but I bet they don't pay...

    looking for good options broker

Then either he lied (which I doubt, because people would have pointed it out by now) or he meant something else by it.. I'm too lazy to listen to what he said and try to figure out what he meant by it though.. maybe someone more informed than I can clarify it.

    looking for good options broker

I understand what you are saying, but you said there has to be a catch without providing any proof. Exchanges do not charge a per contract fee. If you ever listened to the OH CEO give an interview he points that out everytime. (Direct link to his most recent interview)...

    looking for good options broker

So your logic is that there is a catch because it is a flat rate, but you only say that because you think there "has to be"? .. Pretty piss poor logic if you ask me. To the OP: If you're always doing large contract orders (you can do the per contract math on it) then OH is good. If you're...
