IB data fees and staff contradictory replies

Sorry I don't want to appear to be arrogant, but perhaps that is because it is the mirror of you: I never use any foul word in my replies as a matter of fact, or insult someone like the above even if I don't agree with someone. If you think forcing someone to pay is not a problem simply...

IB data fees and staff contradictory replies

This thread has nothing to do with complaining the datafeed being expensive as a matter of fact. "Your mileage may vary" applies in this case so let's forget it and focus to another issue. Now the issue is IB essentially forces you to subscribe market data through its persistent popup. This...

IB data fees and staff contradictory replies

Dear def, Sorry I didn't say that in my replies. I intend to call you a liar. Yes I do feel the replies received from IB are doubtful. Instead of giving clear-cut answers to my doubts, IB is beating about the bush. I can't help but think IB is hiding something from us. As a confirmation...

IB data fees and staff contradictory replies

LOL. It is amusing that you like to blindly follow the wrong logic made by the same person. Read again. That persistent popup will show up for EVERY SINGLE market which you don't subscribe data. If you trade for 4 markets, perhaps you need to pay $100 or more. For people who think paying...

IB data fees and staff contradictory replies

Yes you are a genius. Yes you assume the problem will be gone if I pay $25. Please drink some coffee and read again. If you still don't see it, let me point it out for you. That persistent popup will show up for EVERY SINGLE market which you don't subscribe data. If you trade for 4...

IB data fees and staff contradictory replies

Except I still hold an account in IB. I switched back to my old broker for the time being. Why don't you switch to the most expensive brokers in the world? Essentially commissions and trading costs are nothing to you. Go and spend US50 per side to get your real-life data from that broker.

IB data fees and staff contradictory replies

That is easy. Just add this line on the popup, in bold and red if you like: Warning!! You may get bad price entry if you don't subscribe my datafeed. Then let the users pick their own choices. If they want to ignore your warning, so be it. By the way I really don't understand why we will...

    Alternatives to IB?

I would like to drop IB too, not because of the price but their practices. IB uses dirty tricks to force me to subscribe something which I don't want! How can one stay with a broker which will hurt us for their own benefits? I feel uneasy with IB now.

IB data fees and staff contradictory replies

Yes it is very obvious IB should make such an option available. What makes me wonder is how they responded - IB doesn't see the point of it and decides not to fix it. Although they don't expressly refuse, you can feel that according to what they said and the sound of it. This is what makes me...

IB data fees and staff contradictory replies

On one hand, IB says they actually want to offer data for free because they want us to trade more. On the other hand, IB denies to fix the popup and insists that a persistent popup is necessary in this case. Why do you want to keep reminding us to subscribe market data if you say you don't mind...

IB data fees and staff contradictory replies

It has been some while but the problem hasn't been fixed yet. Recently I have some chats about my issues regarding IB data and subscription. For some reasons I don't want to use their own market data. Instead I would use my third-party data vendor. I am very certain this won't affect my...

Discrepancy in Commissions on the website

Good but did you just correct this error? There are also several discrepancies (or errors?) presented in the table.

Discrepancy in Commissions on the website

It seems IB still hasn't corrected the table. How professional it is when the table is full of mistakes and errors!!

    Beware! Print out your statements

dont, how did IB correct your account? I still don't like the fact that they update our accounts retrospectively even if it is on our favour. They should update the account by proper means. Correcting account retrospectively is still unacceptable.

IB's 4% Intraday Initial Margin Req. for Index Futures

Why is it the same? Is it a print mistake? I found many mistakes in the table. It is not coincidence.

US Securities & Commodities Non-Professional Bundle

No one knows?! I suppose there are many people trading US market and subscribe to IB's data, but no one knows?! Perhaps the so-called Bundle only covers a small portion of markets, so no one want to reveal the truth?!

Discrepancy in Commissions on the website

No one knows which version is correct?! There are two versions of the commission charged on the same product.
