I am a US citizen but plan to live in Europe and travel around for a few years.

I will not be living in any country more than 5 to 6 months, same with when I come back to States. I won't be living in any one state for more than a few months. How will my taxes work? Will I only pay federal taxes?

If I elect myself as a Trader Tax Status, wash sales will be ok for 2018?

Sorry about my bad English! I think I qualify as TTS. I have so far this year 600 trades. I am in the green, no losses so far. I have a lot of wash sales. If I elect TTS, the wash sales will not count for 2018? I do my taxes with Turbo tax. How would my broker know my TTS? Thanks

They are not options. They are long/short equity trades. They told me I can write it under "notes" but I want the p/L calculated for me in real time.

On Fidelity website, when you click on a position, you can choose "Purchse History/Lots". Under that, you see all your lots and different prices and up to the minute gains/losses. I didn't think it was a big deal, until I switched to a broker who didn't have this feature and it is really...

I realized it was too complicated to just set up the C corp in a no corporate tax state. I realize that the C corp will be giving me dividends and salary and I would then have to pay local income tax on it!

Schwab's platform must be the worst in the industry.

I just don't understand why it can't save the screen like a Google doc does? Every few seconds it refreshes and saves. I have forgotten to do it many times and I had to start from scratch. Real PITB

Not that long. I have had long term funds with Vanguard which is a great company. I have been trading with Fidelity Pro for about 6 months and just signed on Schwab to try them up a few weeks ago. I hate that you have to constantly save each screen and watch list and everything else... I hate...

How can they get such good rating from Nerdwallet? It is truly a disaster. Nothing gets saved, they don't have previous day's P/L, slow execution, just horrible.
