Do you find day trading exhausting?

I've never traded 1 million shares before in a day, but I've had some 2-400k share days and those are the days where you leave the floor feeling like you really, really, worked hard.

    Trader P/L 2011

slow day; relatively large amount of action for me despite that; still missed a lot of great signals...just nice to have consistently trusted my new system...once I manage to do the same thing for 4 days next week, I'll raise size.

Dude I know the journey. It's a tough road and most people don't make it to the end of the rainbow. I'll tell you what --- I seriously doubt anything that you read in a book is going to change your actions. The impetus is still with you. You can't escape yourself.

    Nasdaq Opening Price (historical)

Bloomberg Terminal. I don't know how you would export that data to whatever you use to backtest data. But they have specific data and even display level 1 (and I think level 2) at the time of the print along with the size printed at that price.

How can you stop thinking in money terms?

Totally agree. bln's approach is not sound. $65k swing on a $200k account is a humongous swing and an incredibly large percentage hit to take on account. It doesn't sound like a trader's approach, it sounds more like buy and hope it doesn't fall further.

How can you stop thinking in money terms?

Flat out wrong. In addition to having my own automated profitable system (and so do two friends of mine), you also assumed that everything can be automated. It can't.

What's your plan for overcoming your fear of losing money? Don't say making money. I only ask b/c the last time I commented on your blog you mentioned this. There's no secret to it, you just have to take the trade and accept the inherent uncertainty. No other way.

If a Sizable Correction Were To Take Place, What Would be the Reason?

Lol...I think its a fair assumption. Market doesn't go up forever...eventually it will take a break? When? I don't know, I'll let you guys pick the top.

    Consistency is my goal

I've fought stocks before in the past....looking back, those are all of my worst days. I've lost many thousands doing that...usually on fade plays. Go with the trend or wait for it reverse and then go with it. Do what the stock is doing...you cannot make it do want you think it should be doing...

still breaking trading rules...I've gotten better...but it's costing me profits...it will stop! Long the Fed. What happened to wizetrade? He complains and he doesn't even participate.

    ElecEquity's Active Trading Journal

+$757.99 -- 63,600 shares Super duper slow day. Not much of note to trade today. Today was a down day in the market and my breakout filters were a lot more quiet than on up days. On days like today, I'm going to have to have some earnings plays and some short ideas coming into the day...
