    Can brokers provide ratings/research?

Thanks Xandman. Wondering if that's the case because banks have licensing that allows them to do that. If Robinhood wanted to issue B/S/H ratings, would they be able to do it, or would they need a license for that activity?

    Can brokers provide ratings/research?

Curious if US brokers can rate stocks or ETFs like Morningstar, or if regulation prevents them?

Robinhood vs the world - any RH traders here?

This is simple. The brand appeals to young traders. For a long time firms that serviced active retail traders neglected younger, less affluent accounts and only focused on older, wealthier traders. RH innovated on price and user experience, which allowed its brand to become part of...

Is OIL SERIOUSLY undervalued right now??

@orbit agreed. I closed out my long position. The historical data I look at says CL should be higher long term, but the correlation w ES is high, and my data for ES says market is going lower.

US Taxes on Long-Dated Contracts Held > 1 Yr

Us resident here. If I buy a long-dated contract and sell it more than 1 year later, will I be taxed on long term capital gains, or the normal short/long mix that IRS typically charges for futures contracts? Thank you.

Is OIL SERIOUSLY undervalued right now??

A number of points to add to this thread. - Global ISMs recovering. - Rig counts have been dropping precipitously for the past year so supply will be tight. https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/crude-oil-rigs - We got a 3 sigma move up in the price of crude on the Saudi drone bombing...

    VXX or UVXY during recession

@guru @yogi_trader Thanks for insights. From Jan 2018 until now the term structure of the Vix has shifted higher and the time decay for holding VXX has declined substantially. (UVXY suffers from more substantial decay.) Imagining that a long-term holder of VXX may benefit if the term structure...

    VXX or UVXY during recession

Thoughts on what would happen to VXX or UVXY during a recession? These are imperfect products but assuming volatility is persistently elevated for a period of a year to two years, how would one imagine these products would fair?
