    Need Advice on Cancer remedies

I would get an opinion at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Many/most other centers also have expertise, but Mayo just does everything to a uniform standard of excellence, with less variability than elsewhere.

serious post- how many have Enlarged Prostates ?

From the article (and I have heard this elsewhere too): "Not yet approved in the USA but available in Europe and several other countries are the nickel-titanium stents. These stents place themselves between temporary and permanent stents since they can remain in place for several years and...

    trust account experiences

My guess is that any broker will accept the account. They all have Trust applications on their web site. Their should be no additional fees - I do not pay any even for my pension plan trust accounts, which are more complex legally.

    trust account experiences

Ah ok - a lot of what I said would not apply then. Apparently a living trust is basically disregarded for tax purposes and everything is kept under your own SSN during your lifetime. I do not know enough about living trusts to say much - hopefully someone else will. I am skeptical of...

    trust account experiences

What kind of trust account? An IRA? A 401k? A defined benefit pension plan? (1) A trust is a different legal entity so you cannot transfer positions at all. (2) No but I think you might consider setting set up your own trust with Millenium or other trustee - then ANY broker will accept...

You did set up the paper trading account in the Account Management web pages, right?

    IB demo system accuracy

See http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/p.php?f=minimumDeposits&p=act-default Required minimum / monthly activity and note the text "waived for the first 3 full calendar months." So the $10 inactivity fee is waived for the first 3 months but I guess the separate $10 quote fee still...

    IB demo system accuracy

You have to subscribe to the U.S. quote package on your main account and that should propagate to the paper account also. It may say $10 a month for inactive users but I believe that is waived for the first 3 months.

    time and sales in IB

Maybe they just assign the legs arbitrarily when a spread order is executed? Only the net value needs to be a market value.

    Another GLD Autumn Rally?

Normally QE would weaken a currency. I agree that, instead, it has been helping the Euro against the dollar recently, because it is viewed as "saving" the Euro from collapse as opposed to just reducing its future value. Overall, though, I think that QE in Europe and China is needed for Gold...

    Another GLD Autumn Rally?

I think it all depends now on whether and when the ECB and China continue with their QE's. The ECB, for example, cannot act until Spain etc. requests help and Spain is trying to avoid doing so as long as possible. The U.S. alone is only 20% of global money supply.

    ThinkOrSwim to close Australian accounts

Consider that the real unstated reason may well be that regulators in your respective home countries have passed laws regulating foreign brokers who serve citizens of your country. This is the usual reason. I think this applies to Australia. Many countries have recently done so, including...

    Quick question

Actually yes you can, subject to the below. Pattern day trader rules do not apply to a CASH account. However with a cash account, proceeds of trades will be held 3 days under the three day settlement rule (since the broker cannot advance them to you without a margin account). So it is...

    Trading Platform Programming

Or you can start from your broker's API (or FIX) and build up on the sample applications they provide. Some examples of platforms that come with good sample applications are Interactive Brokers and CTS T4. You can abstract and architect your own code as a separate layer so that it can be...

Can IRA account trade forex at Interactive Brokers?

The original question was about leveraged FX. Anyway, the approach has limitations because (1) it is not leveraged (well you can leverage it outside an IRA but then you will pay hefty interest) (2) in an IRA, you can then only buy assets in their own currency. Outside an IRA, IB will...

Can IRA account trade forex at Interactive Brokers?

If you try to execute a *leveraged* FX trade in it, you will find that you cannot do it. A leveraged trade means that you are short one currency and long another in an amount greater than the account balance. I had such an account also and while you can do unleveraged FX trades in it, it...

IB Handling of Cancel Order, Does it make sense??

Most likely they under-promise in the informal descriptions and in reality are fine-tuning the actual code and arrangements to ensure that unwanted fills do not take place. They are unlikely to describe exactly how the code works because they need to fine-tune it on an ongoing basis. Even...

Can IRA account trade forex at Interactive Brokers?

The answer is No for leveraged forex because IB (alone amongst brokers) treats forex trades as leveraged cash balances and you cannot have a debit cash balance in an IRA.

    data comparison

Well of course the "close" is just the last trade in any given time interval and then the next trade after that is the "open" of the next. Many brokers give "time and sales" showing every trade time-stamped, so that should allow resolving any subtleties at the boundary. I have the...
