    Scalping_My Way with ACV

Besides speculators, there are hedgers and arbs in the market (ES). At the end of every day, most hedgers and arbs probably think that they got a good deal. Even if a hedger appears on the ask with big size and it gets taken and price goes higher, the hedger got a good deal.

    Scalping_My Way with ACV

I have observed price moving to size (on ES). An interesting question is how much profit should one look for over what period of time when fading the cumulative size. Another interesting question is: are there market internals clues that would be helpful to consider before the cum. size is faded?

    Simple Profitable Method

"it's not just 'someone', since it's a truckload size it must come from a big guy and big guy is the guy that definitely can move the market. OK so now we know who is that someone, the next logical question is, is he seller or buyer? if he is seller does he want to sell at lower or higher price...

My impression is that "ftt" is a new name for "bounce off support/resistance." Is that alright?

    why prop and not futures?

I wonder whether, in the U.S., there are regulatory/reporting considerations that make it difficult for prop firms to engage in futures trading.

    Exiting to early help?

Maybe they're scared. A 1.5 pt stop on the s&p mini contract can be easily hit, so maybe they take profits early to reduce their exposure to the market's price "noise."

    What happened to Turtle Traders?

They may have been reincarnated as "dummy" traders. I mean the ones who do "dummy trades." That seems to be a range breakout/breakdown method, which, I think, most of the time fails -- that was the turtle's assesment, anyway, and why they had to use tight stops on their bets. Basically take a...

Why are IB's chart's so slow?

Couple questions: 1. Is IB's data tick-by-tick? 2. Does IB make the source code of their charting software available? (It is derived from jfreechart, if I remember correctly, which is "open" source.)

    Nikkei 225

What about commission arbitrage? Could someone offer Osaka mini traders a commission of 250 yen? Money might be made by bundling five Osaka mini trades into one Singapore trade. Gross on each bundle would be 1250 yen with a net of 650 yen, considering the 600 yen commission in Singapore.

    What is trading software?

If you trade just 2-3 time a month, daily/weekly charts might be adequate. You might get by with what's available for free from stockcharts.com. Do you need realtime charts? What does your broker offer?

    Nikkei 225

In my time zone, the Osaka exchange opens at 1700; the Singapore exchange opens at 1645. Those hours give me an opportunity to trade after work, so I've looked into trading the Nikkei 225 futures. This is what I've found: On the Osaka exchange, there are two contracts: the big one and a...

Trading both sides outside the US?

It was a conspiracy among several people. They essentially traded among themselves, via the market, in order to create the impression that there was demand in the stock.

Trading both sides outside the US?

If you want to be on both sides, just use two accounts. I did, however, read once about someone sanctioned by the SEC for doing that with several accounts in order to pump up a stock.

    Swissy question

In, for example, USD & GBP: USD/GBP: buy GBP for your USD by buying. GBP/USD: sell USD for GBP by selling. In both cases you get GBP for your USD. Right?
