I have talked with the Orc reps and their solution would be overkill for retail. There must be another solution provider that offers similar functionality without the hefty price tag.
I've been doing this strategy for years now. Along with some previously mentioned downsides, one is boredom.
My question to you is when do you buy back your short option ... 1 day before expiry? 2 days etc.
I can't believe there's no trading in the south florida. I attended a trading expo in ft. lauderdale a couple summers ago and the place was packed. I suspect a lot have blown up by now.
I trade futures thru Velocity and equity options with thinkorswim.
I will entertain a broker that will give me direct access to ecns as well as futures to employ these strategies.

I guess I need to wake up to reality. I have an automated strategy that can produce 10K to 20K per month using Orc, that's why I even considered using it. I wonder if any of Orc's customers would consider leasing a connection. I'd pay to have access to that kind of automated trading power...
