What trading style is better...slow and steady..or hitting homeruns once in a while?

Ill agree with this. Psychologically any low risk grind is easier to manage and will have less variance. You avoid the big ups and downs. I was just talking to some of the other traders in the office about this. 2 tend to trade a more grinding style where as I make about 80% of my gains off 3...

Thanks for the explanation. I was simply impressed with your balance of the conceptual reason behind taking a positon and the ability to cut losses when nessicary. The strategy obviously works. I hope you continue posting the series, it's a great reference for index trading

What to look for in Light Sweet Crude?

Hey all traders love volatility, that's how you make money. What he's saying, and I agree, is that it's too much of a risk to bet one way or another on a numbers release. You can make a lot of money but if somethings out of whack you can lose a lot too Now if you have a friend in the EIA...

    Behavioral finance

I'm sure it's been posted before, but a good overview of essays exists at: http://introduction.behaviouralfinance.net/. It's also got a good over-view of topics related to the market like over-under reactions and some Behavioral Scientists' takes on TA. A lot of specifics of BF are mentioned...
