Btw DailyFX does keep on recommeding buying UC, selling AU both near major levels, so it is not surprise that graph looks that way. ;)

    JPY at end of trend?

@ Jason, Thanks for graphs, interesting. Yet your company's analysis are bearish on Yen, FT suggests that Yen is undervalued. IMO it ain't a drastically bad idea to go against the trend in DollarYen as technical reasons are pretty sound for a bounce making risk to reward very favourable IMO...

I wonder if Japan does peg the Yen what will that mean for our positions in Jpy crosses? Will brokers be allowed to cancel trades?

Gold - on cusp of massive bearmarket :)

DBs' problem rests in his expectations of deflationary environment to set in around the globe. Perhaps he will be correct one day, after all austerity measures are likely to cap growth after all, but right now governments seem to be trying to inflate their way out of debt. And that's being...

Analysis: Investors bet on initial success for Japan on yen "It's incredible how unfazed investors are about the downside on dollar/yen," said Simon Smollett, options analysts at Credit Agricole. "It tells us Japanese corporates are not worried (about the possibility of dollar/yen...

USDJPY - stay alert - for poss. reversal

I agree, Japan will not be able to survive being reliant heavily on exporting. It's not so much about what one sees in a monthly chart technically, but what Japan has to do to survive. Do they willingly desire default? Of course not, so they will do anything to get away from high Yen ;)

    * Euro (EUR), 57.6% weight * Pound sterling (GBP), 11.9% weight * Canadian dollar (CAD), 9.1% weight * Swedish krona (SEK), 4.2% weight and * Swiss franc (CHF) 3.6% weight. * Japanese Yen (JPY) 13.6% weight. As you can see Yen being only 13% of basket total will only...

    JPY at end of trend?

Partly because Chinese are selling USD relentlessly & buying Yen to weaken Japanese export industry.

USDJPY - stay alert - for poss. reversal

Low 91 is a solid magnet on monthly chart, I have little doubt that Ninja will head there. Second target is 50% retracement which coincides with divergence measured retracement around 102. If Japan is "toast" quoting Kyle Bass, then perhaps this massive monthly divergence is a sign of a huge...

For sure, but is it a sign of a pullback or a reversal? Weekly suggests it ought to be a pullback, unless markets faked the breakout. Another point one has to consider is that if FED add another $1t of liquidity it will be "good" for most things - equities & commodities.
