    Futures tax treatment for entities

No. Create an LLC, that is a disregarded entity by the IRS, and just choose pass though taxes so you are taxes like a sole proprietorship. While it wouldn't matter how you choose your LLC to be taxed, this way there is zero question period. I formed an LLC for the same reason as you...

High-Speed Trading No Longer Hurtling Forward

I believe the 1.3 is in the ballpark for HFT profits in US Securities. Just look at Knight's Income statements from past years: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/is?s=KCG+Income+Statement&annual For the month of September they were ranked 7th in volume for NYSE, ARCA, and Nasdaq listed securities...

    Ag Calendar Spreads Liquidity Observation

I've noticed that with calendar spreads such as Rice, Wheat, and other Ag products there is a lot more liquidity (more bids) on the long side of the spread. I believe the reason that is the case is because when you are long the spread you can take delivery on it and then close out the position...

Amazon AWS vs VPS: MetaTrader 4

That is only if you are using TT NET for your data. Most TT users only use the software and provide their own data solution in conjunction with their clearing firm. Here are all the ways you can connect to the CME http://www.cmegroup.com/globex/files/connectivityoptions.pdf For example, 1...

    What are Mass Quotes

That's pretty much what my understanding was. Just on a side note, from my understanding on the CME you can do a change as opposed to a cancel and then replace so you just need 1 message for every quote not 2.

    What are Mass Quotes

While they did a good job of explaining it here the audio was poor so it was difficult to catch it all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwFvG-x-8Ic From what I understand mass quoting updates your options pricing all at once when the underlying changes as opposed to having to update each...

Knight’s $440 Million Loss Spurs Questions on Trade Cancel Rules

If we cancel trades whenever someone looses money every trade would be canceled... I can understand canceling a trade when a stock trades at 30 and then at 0.01 the next trade but that is about it.

"AMP's response to recent news concerning alleged improprieties at PFG"

I don't feel bad about them, they were very dishonest with me when telling me what rates they could offer me. Their are many other firms out there much better. If they were a good firm for anyone but very small traders they would have no problems growing.

"AMP's response to recent news concerning alleged improprieties at PFG"

Just because its "just numbers" doesn't mean that they are relevant to the stability of a firm.

"AMP's response to recent news concerning alleged improprieties at PFG"

The rational zerohedge used the rate firms is very debatable at best.

"AMP's response to recent news concerning alleged improprieties at PFG"

I wonder why they left out they are virtually the smallest fcm out there in terms of cash on hand and customers assetts... In the end when it comes to fraud it doesn't matter what size the firm is but coming out with a statement like that proves noting about their stability.

    lowest commision on ES please

There is no additional fee for the service, but you clearing firm has to give you permission to sign up. (They fill out the forms) I have called them a few times. Once was to get execution times for 2 orders so I could compare it with the execution time the TT fill window was providing me. A...

    lowest commision on ES please

By remotely I mean over the internet. If you were to be trading from your clearing firms trading floor you would be directly connected to their gateways. If you loose connection you will still have your fills saved regardless of how you are connected if it is back up before the trading day...

    lowest commision on ES please

1 - Most people that use TT aren't connecting remotely so that would never come into play. 2 - Sign up with the Globex GCC and you will be able to contact them for open positions / executions / working orders.
