It makes sense to me. Those mini contracts are thinly traded and the price action can act wacky. Just because you are risking less per tick doesnt mean you will be any more successful.

The yoga ball thingie is a good idea. Could always get a standing height desk, get a bar stool type chair if you want to sit for a while.

I like DTN IQFeed, never had an issue. I use it with Sierra Charts though, not Ensign.

Just double click the display box man, the one on the right side, not the one on the chart itself, they'll both change.

double click it on the DOM, you can switch it to display percentage up or down or how many cents/points/pips/whatever up or down. Less distracting than seeing dollar amounts. You can do the same on the chart trader as well if you use that. Edit* you have to be in a position to switch it, so...

I was the exact same way, but Ive been doing much better in ES and ZN lately. If anything CL really helped(is helping) me refine my trading. I love trading oil though, its a wild ride.

Were you scaling into/out of those bigger positions?

1 lot can get the job done in just about any futures market, imho. I made close to 500 bucks trading 1 gold lot this morning before the broad market opened. CL can definitely give you opportunity to maximize 1 lot.
