    Trading Support and Resistance

I already know the answer for myself... but I'm always trying to improve myself, too. Maybe there is an concept, that works better for me... maybe not. But if I don't try I'll never know. So I'm always looking for new approaches. DEM

    Trading Support and Resistance

I don't like the concept of Pivots. Maybe they work in the pit (the actually do work there) but I won't use them on stocks. But still I'm looking for a clear statement: When to trade sup / res. and when to trade breakouts. In my opinion in strong trending markets (lets say up) I...

    Trading Support and Resistance

Hi Ken sup/res trading is fine in trending markets, in choppy markets new traders will get whipsawed. I prefer to use sup/res in choppy markets like the last few weeks... Breakouts are fine in strong trending markets, IMHO. Do you agree? Greetings from cold germany DEM

    End of Day - Datafeed

Actually I prefer Reuters Datalink: It's Reuters Data ;-), I have an build in Downloader, the bad quotes in the past days are corrected and it's about the same price. There is no Download Limitation and the data is going far back... But maybe I should give TC2000 a try... DEM

    End of Day - Datafeed

in an old version, but actually it's up to 2000. I have a ISDN connection. It takes me about 20 minutes to get the datas. There was a total of ~ 2,5 MB transferred. So it can not be my connection. DEM

    End of Day - Datafeed

@vikana I also looked at QuotesPlus... but 255 securities / folder ... that's not much. It's half the S&P 500. TC2000 seems interesting. How long does it take you to download the data? DEM

    End of Day - Datafeed

Is it also possible to download the data via "The Downloader" to my drive? I thought that is the way reuters datalink works... Thx DEM

    End of Day - Datafeed

Hi I've been using Metastock for some months now. My Datafeed is prophetfinance. But I'm not really satisfied with the data. It's incredible slow (takes ~20 min for 1300 stocksto update), for about 10 days I'm not able anymore to download the indizes, the support team doesn't answer my...

    Breakouts...

...should come hand in hand with an increase in volatility. At least that is my experience. I don't bother the 50 MA time lag. I only want to have an overview what was going on. regards, DEM

    Trading Support and Resistance

don't like breakouts because I never know, when to take profits... another problem for me are the pull/throw-backs. So I simply don't take them... there are enough possibilities for support/resistance in the markets... DEM

    Trading Support and Resistance

They are actually in a dwontrend, so I only trade resistance. So I would short them below 25.8 and close my position over 26.2 That's almost no risk... DEM

    Trading Support and Resistance

I usually define a trend by a 50 SMA. If it's going up, I only trade support. If it's going down, I only trade resistance. In sideway markets I trade usually both. I always look at a candlestickchart to see reversal formations. So I can set a close stop loss and have as a swing trader a...

    Trading Support and Resistance

Hey everbody. I'm just wondering if there are some traders out there, which have a similar trading approach as me: I'm shorting stocks that are in a downtrend, but were able to recover to a resistance. And I'm buying stocks that are in an uptrend and test a support area. Maybe someone...
