Saudi Arabia cuts oil prices amid OPEC price war

Perhaps sell the CAD. It's at 0.75800 now and just recently bounced back above 0.75000. This latest news could take it down to 0.74000 :)

Hence the Should've, would've, could've. You should've done something, but you didn't. You would've done something, but you didn't. You could've done something, but you didn't. It's an expression used to reflect on the past. :)

Link to the posts? J_Smith was on the right track with the very bullish AAPL October 02 113.00 Calls. Unfortunately the timing was off, two days early. :)

FYI Hindsight Bias or Hindsight Analyst .............. Hindsight bias, also known as the knew-it-all-along effect or creeping determinism, is the inclination, after an event has occurred, to see the event as having been predictable, despite there having been little or no objective basis for...

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert - Not very good

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is at par with The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. Stephen Colbert was very good in The Colbert Report, but his transition into prime-time with a major network I don't think is working out. CBS must be worried - they might have to find another host. :)

    MCD

I like this new format better than your old Conservative Options Trades thread, which got moved from the Option forums to Journals. Each trade idea now stands on its own instead of getting lost in the old thread. ================================= Now on to MCD IMO ...... $0.32 credit is...

IPO First Trading Day Question for the Expierenced Traders Here

How does a OPG order differ from a Market Order or Limit Order? Market orders and limit orders can be entered while the market is closed, or in the OP's case for an IPO that isn't trading yet - the orders are then filled once the market opens. That's bullshit. :)

IPO First Trading Day Question for the Expierenced Traders Here

I assume he wants to take advantage of the "wild gyrations" of an IPO - fundamentals has nothing to do with it. Enter early and exit at the end of the day. :)

IPO First Trading Day Question for the Expierenced Traders Here

Market Order: If you absolutely want to buy shares at any price. Limit Order: If you want to buy shares, but not above a certain price. The order might get filled at a better price OR not filled at all. EDIT: Do not believe the Marker Order fear mongering that you might read on ET. You will...

401k, financial manager or real estate?

Re: Buying property and renting to tenants. How about buying a self-storage business? Check the rates on those places, very expensive. And eviction would be much easier than kicking people out of a house or condo. :)

Day Trading Options - How to choose the right strike?

Relax and don't get your panties bunched up. I suppose your idea of mentoring is to reply to threads with endless option theory. A live trade example is much better, It's nice to see a trade progress whether it's profitable or a loss. The high of the day (Wednesday) was $0.48. Something...

Day Trading Options - How to choose the right strike?

The fills on the October 02, 2015 AAPL 113.00 calls at $0.26 in post #10 by J_Smith are legit - it might be a paper trade but a real trade could have been filled at that price. IMO .... Nothing wrong with that trade. Lets see what Thursday brings. :)

    Newbie question

Risk free trade would to buy CAD today, that will lock in your 34% gain. What happens in the next two years? CAD could go up, it could go down. Look into FXC options for high risk/reward trades. :)

    When does CBOE close?

Too many exceptions ........ Might as well enter and exit positions before 4:00 PM EST and don't get caught with your pants down. :)

    When does CBOE close?

And your broker might consider 4:00 PM EST the cut-of time for all options - including QQQ and SPY options which trade to 4:15 PM EST. BMO Investorline will cancel unfilled QQQ/SPY option orders at 4:00 PM EST - no big deal though. :)

Day Trading Options - How to choose the right strike?

Let's cross that bridge when we get to it. I'm expecting a clear winner or loser - nothing in the grey area where the $113.00 option hits a high of $0.60 on one trade. :)

Day Trading Options - How to choose the right strike?

J_Smith ...... Pick the strikes according to how you think the underlying will trade while the position is open :)
