Mixing time frames is asking for complexity, keep it simple and I won't call you stupid. (inside joke there)
Stick to one time frame and choose the biggest most structural channel in that time frame. That is your main trend, consider any smaller channels inside as retracements, resist them...
When the channel begins with a dominant trendline just copy and paste to the lower pivot to obtain the return trend-line, that's easy that's channel 101.
However...
Not all channels begin off dominant trendlines, many times you can get a heads up and project them before they are actually...
Thread is a breath of fresh air with input from people that have obviously been studying the markets for a while.
Albeit it's only the beginning.
Couple of additional tips I would like to suggest.
Mark the dominant trendlines with a specific color, this is your main market direction...
Rol,
Good way to fail at trading is fading strong trends.
Let go, join the flow, stick to utprending equities for buying and for downtrending ones for shorting.
You can do it, free yourself.

Probably something you know but no such thing as wash sale rule on futures and much better tax treatment.
Just make sure you trade futures for the right reasons and not for wrong ones.
Many traders trade futures because they lack sufficient capital so watch out for that.

I suggest trading only one timeframe, whatever you feel comfortable with.
In my case, scalping or swing, there is nothing like the good old daily chart, no matter what instrument I trade.
Good luck.

I trade all setups.
My job is to take my signals, there is no hesitation.
You either believe in your ability to consistently read the market or you don't,

Considering commission and considering slippage (get stopped at market) there is really no money in scalping the NQ or the ES as you are trading noise.
You are better off redefining your trading to try to catch swings and not points.
Take advantage of the around the clock nature of futures...
Go to amazon, search for a book on trading failed patterns, see how many you find.
Best trading advice in ET is often overlooked this is probably no exception.
I would not trade any other way.
