    McClellan Oscillator

Thanks MC, I did not know Tradestation had them as an indicator, I do not subscribe to Tradestation (yet), but I guess this gives me more of a reason to consider it...

What is your daily commission expense (re: IB)

Def: How about the elimination of the recording, push button menu, and a human to answer within 30 seconds as a first step. The slow recording and push button menu is a tactic used by many companies in other industries to frustrate the caller in hopes they will hang up and find another...

What is your daily commission expense (re: IB)

I am hoping that with Tradstation now offering a competitive service IB will finally make the long overdue changes in their customer service. At least now we have some options.

What is your daily commission expense (re: IB)

I was one of IB's first customers and I trade every day, my average daily commission expense is around $300.00, and IB"S customer service still treats me like they don't care if they have my account or not. All I ask is that for the few times I need to contact customer service (and it is...

TradeStation Securities Announces New Lower Commissions

Finally an alternative to IB, perhaps this will now give IB a reason to provide a decent level of customer service without time wasting push button menus and long waits.

    getting a loan...please read!

Truly the best thing can do is stop trading for six months. Cut back your expenses to a bare minimum, get a regular job and save all your money. After six months you will have been able to save enough money to give it a try again. Forget about the loan, keep in mind this is a long process...

    background of trader

The two required qualifications to trade at a proprietary are. 1. You are breathing 2. You have $25,000.00 If you qualify for number two, they will gladly wave the first requirement.

Just one more thought, wouldn't be better just to ask Baron to include such a board or forum here on Elite Trader?

    Home alone vs office

Good idea Northshore, It is interesting to hear from other at home traders, we hear so much about the firms yet I found at home trading to be preferable. I am in Los Angeles

    Home alone vs office

I have traded both from an office and at home, I much prefer trading from home, no distractions and the ability to be more introspective about your own trading and methods. Iam a consistently profitable day trader and have been for many years, the isolation does get to me from time to time and I...

    1x1 size on NYSE

Thanks Lescor, interesting information. Isn't there a requirement that retail public orders be reflected? It seems to me that is no longer going on. They will reflect my order only when they know it is filled, display it, fill it and go back to 1x1. One really has to trade price and...

    1x1 size on NYSE

Thanks for the info guys, that makes sense to me. I remember hearing the NYSE was going to make the specailists book "transparent" by showing the market depth. I have not found a way to see the the depth on the NY book, only composite quotes. Does anyone know if that is presently available...

    1x1 size on NYSE

Can someone explain why I am starting to see so many 1x1 size quotes on the NYSE, even when I know I have an order on the book in greater size, the true size quote is not being reflected. This is happening more and more recently I am not using composite quotes, strictly NYSE. Thanks

    IB Connection Bulletin

IB should offer some more active routing options for NYSE such as Nite or Trimark, so we have options if NYSE goes down. This sort of system failure is a financial disaster waiting to happen.

    Software recommendations?

It seems there are many well informed traders here and I would appreciate some input from you guys on software. I am presently using IB's order entry interface, and use MYTRACK for NYSE and Naz level1 quotes and Qcharts for charting and market scanning/screening. I am pleased with the...

    Ib Customer Service Sucks

JSMITH: Your sugestion that I simply close my account and stop complaining is really out of line. This is an important issue that needs to be addressed by IB and should be posted in an open forum. I would also add this is only the second time I have ever posted on this board, this...

    Ib Customer Service Sucks

I have been with IB from the begining, one of their first customers. It has become almost impossible to get customer service on a level that I can tolerate. Unacceptable long wait times to get thru, once answered the representative is not well informed. Impossible to get thru to funds and...

    IB routing to PRIMEX

As the original poster of this thread, i really appreciate all the feedback. The problem I have found is that on NYSE stocks, if the specailist spreads the quote wide with the intention of crossing the orders in between the spread, Primex will fill maybe one cent better then the posted quote...
