Ha...he doesn't trade anywhere anymore....failed trader. He used to trade at WTS (isn't that obvious) but lost all his money so blames them for it. He sells mortgages now and lurks on elitetrader waiting for anyone to mention WTS.

SgtSlotter, Blah, blah, blah. We are so lucky we have a failed trader as our guardian angel to protect us from the big bad WTS. Shouldn't you be closing a mortgage or two? Or did you fail and selling mortgages as well? What's next, selling insurance?

Bro59, Good point about it being a job. It is more a career than a job. If you sit home all day and successfully trade your IB account can you say you are a trader? I think so. Either way it's semantics. You cannot compare Tuco and WTS. Or for that matter any non registered entity...

Excellent post earlybird....but I wouldn't totally write off elitetrader. Don't let a few failed loser traders like SgtSlotter ruin the ET experience. I use the ignore a lot for idiots like him. I still get good info on this site.

I guess you can look at it that way. But the main point is that you have to go through one of the branches to trade with them.

Yes, I confirmed this with WTS compliance. They have WTS branches and remote traders and all traders trade directly with WTS. That is the only way to trade through WTS....you cannot go direct.
