Nope. Not really. Nothing seems too easy lately. :( So................................how do I learn to differentiate between "high risk" and "low risk" trades?

If you want to fail as a trader, study TA

Well..........I don't know what the hell I'm doing. I don't understand when to enter & when to exit. I try to control risk with stops & get stopped over & over. I remove stops and then really get killed. I don't understand the marketplace and how it works. I don't know when to bet big and...

Actually the more of his posts that I read the more I'm convinced that he really knows what he's doing. I've learned a ton from him already, and hope to learn more. Maybe you just already know everything I'm learning, so what seems like nothing to you is actually something to me.

One of the KEY things we must understand and learn is how to tell the difference between a "high risk entry" and a "low risk entry". By the way................has anyone you have given advice/coaching to turned out to be successful? Just wondering if anyone ever "gets" it.

I realize TE could be a complete nutcase; I have no idea who he is; I have no idea who anybody on the internet is; but I've read enough over the years to know that what he says has the ring of truth if you read it about 10 times to get what he's saying. Don't forget I have other information...

Maybe the correct answer is I would've done nothing unless trading BDX fit my plan/process. I have no idea what exactly you look at to make your decisions, so it would be dumb to try to copy you. In fact you could be a 13 year old really smart kid living in your mom's basement who has only...

Good Post Oldlareg. What is BE in the equation. Is it "betting efficiency"?

I wouldn't have felt comfortable shorting it until it got down to the $75.75 area where I could have put in a small stop. Or maybe a short after the 1st big green up bar with a high around 76. Could have used it's high for a stop after price continued back down. A good buy I suppose would...

That brings up a questions: Do you have stats on all your setups and know what % of the time they succeed? For example BDX closed below it's open yesterday, formed an NRB after a WRB, price has been moving down, and according to your records price will test the low of the WRB 95% of the time...

If you want to fail as a trader, study TA

Spongebob can do that to a person ! Be careful. I was just trying to figure out if it's best to trade only 1 particular setup like one of those with a name such as Ross Hook, or if it's better to just enter based on common sense whether or not it happens to have formed one of the famous setup...

TE, I see that many times that price tends to narrow it's range before taking off. Is that due to big money trying to calm things down and fill their orders in an orderly fashion? Big Money cool, calm, & collected = narrow ranges. Amatuers panic, euphoria, scared, greedy = wide ranges...

Redneck or TE: As far as $1.10, -.37, .14 What do these tell you exactly? I get the range........that's easy. -.37 tells you the sellers won the battle yesterday? What good is the gap though? How is that important?

Odlareg, I'm not really saying anything with that quote about the starlings; I just found it interesting if you think about the stock market. Maybe when price gets to a certain level the "experts" are uncertain what to do just like everyone else. Maybe one of them jumps in and buys; the...

TE............I'm pretty sure I saw that fingerprint picture sometime today or last night, but I can't remember where or what it is. I also don't remember why I brought up market profile, other than I saw it mentioned and it seemed like something that could increase the odds. If trading is...

If you want to fail as a trader, study TA

TE, Regarding the levels or boxes...........................is there only one specific way to choose these levels, or is it up to me as to which levels I deem to be important (or which I think the Generals deem important actually)? I would assume that 1 important level is the "open" for...

I think I may have noticed today what you're talking about regarding the "idiots and fools". I'm looking at charts & information in a totally different way now. I'd appreciate any information you can send me. You'd be amazed how much time & effort I've put into this with very bad results...

TE, Where can I go to learn some of the things you know? I would guess you've worked in the industry or learned from some very good traders. By the way ignore some of the thick idiots on this thread. They come to this site to learn from others, and then you try to teach them something...

Hey TE, Thanks for starting this thread. I don't know why people don't just shut up and try to learn something, or just quit wasting time typing in a thread if they don't like what's in it. As far as they Key things: I'd like to be able to tell when the big guys are buying vs the...
