    has to be the most insane market ever

    Ralph Elliott would be proud of today's action.... just a beautiful 5 wave (3-up, 2 down) Elliott IMPULSE wave today.... some stocks like ERTS up 4% from the morning lows.... wow. This market is: "Follow the money".... and it's coming.... from bonds (the move is over), from real estate...

    has to be the most insane market ever

    EXACTLY. YESTERDAY's Price Action most telling......up till noon, mid-cap and small-cap indices were near ALL TIME HIGHS !! Then when crude refused to crater, the indices came off.... but everything considered, it was a STRONG showing for the equity markets. Even today, "late shorts" getting...

    Genesis Releases Latest Ping Times Tests

    EXACTLY. This important "latency" stuff is critical to traders, but likely NOT PUBLISHED by brokers or order-entry middlemen. I recall that Barron's attempts to get a ranking on speed of execution, however, I'll bet their techniques are much less than scientific.

    TradestationSerious Performance Issues: Alternates?

    Supported software implies bug-fixes and periodic maintenance releases......this has NOT been the case with TS2000i ever since Service Pack 5 was released over 4 years ago. The Omega List omega-list@eskimo.com is just full of stories of bugs and having to "reinstall" the software quite often...

    TradestationSerious Performance Issues: Alternates?

    TS2000i is old, UNSUPPORTED technology....USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I've tried it real-time, and it frequently "blows up" in Windows "protection exceptions" especially when running tick-based charts. Cruz and company are slimy snakes IMHO...I'd stay away from them...TS2000i , TS7, TS8, TS8.1, WHATEVER.

    Selling systems I developed to hedge fund

    I actually like this idea.....but on second thought, can you TRUST these kids ? Everywhere you turn, you're faced with this IP issue....which as everyone says, is a high, high cost proposition when it results in litigation.

    Selling systems I developed to hedge fund

    Are you aware there are several trading companies who will run your code, execute the trades, and give you a percentage of the profits ? This may be an easier route to go.... Again, upir code can be reverse-engineered, but not without great effort, especially if the formulas and logic are...

    Greenspan Warns Against Chinese Tariffs

    TOO LATE !!! Of course, it's too late for Greenspan to do ANYTHING related to the Chinese economy and it's effect on our country. Where was he 4 years ago ? The US government and government officials have become so "backward" looking recently, I'd fire them all, GREENSPAN INCLUDED. Terrible...

    Selling systems I developed to hedge fund

    Next Target for S&P500 --> 1120,00

    Let me look at this closer this weekend....but could you please change the color on your wave numbering to distinguish the various time-frames ? Too many numbers !

    Next Target for S&P500 --> 1120,00

    Nope. According to "Mastering Elliott Wave" By Glenn Neely, you're not following all of the rules.....too many of your "numbered" waves imply impulse waves, when in-fact, the are breaking retracement "rules" which throw them into a non-impulse category.

    TS system and esignal

    Both platforms have DLL interfaces....so you could most likely create a DLL that is called from your tradestation system code that would then call a DLL that is resident on the ESignal platform. The call would occur on each buy/sell event. Lots of programming involved here....no rocket science...

    Great entries, horrible exits

    2 ideas: 1) if long, use the Lowest Low approach....say a low is printed that is lower than the previous 3 lows, get out. For shorts, use highest high. 2) use chandlier: whatever your peak profit in the position was, get out when the price falls to a % from that high water mark. Example...

    Numbered waves imply decent trending of prices....I don't see that...which is why I use letters to indicate non-verticle side-ways movement.

    Next Target for S&P500 --> 1120,00

    An alternate count... sneaky "E" wave may occur if crude takes a short-term plunge here. This will burn the shorts near-term and set-up for a great short at a higher price. #1 down may be the start of a new bear move.

    Don't Buy Housing Bubble Propaganda

    re: "spending cuts"....NOT LIKELY. On front page of CIO magazine, 6/15/2005: "Since 9/11, FBI has gone thru FOUR CIO's, WASTED $170 million on a FAILED case-file system, spent $400 million on computer equipment, yet agents STILL NOT EQUIPPED to do their job better" Bottomline...
