Different shades of CME natural gas futures

Yes, I'm trading LN options till their expiration. Why not to do it? It's cash settled contracts. Usually if options deep in-the-money, i'm using futures (HP futures) to offset them. Then clearing will expire my positions and send financial result (there will be 0 futures and 0 options).

Different shades of CME natural gas futures

Anyway I'm using HP to close my positions in options (LN) if needed, and it's fine that both HP and LN options settle against the same price.

Different shades of CME natural gas futures

RedSun, I mean that it's easy to support price equivalence between HP and NG, because HP stops to trade with final price 1 day before NG expiry, and some hedge funds can easily close NG and HP at the same time. So I think "physical premium or discount" is close to zero... With HH vs NG...

And before NG expiration and delivery, you can close HP and NG at the same time, so price difference is absent

Different shades of CME natural gas futures

I found an answer: HH (financial nat gas) costs a little less than NG (deliverable nat gas) because there is a risk of some deficit at expiration, some commercial may want to take NG delivery and you can close position only buying NG back at higher price, than you can sell back HH contract. For...

Modelling skew dependent on vol of vol

I would mention that selling too much wings is dangerous, market too panic in hiking IV on topping of NG prices, so vega component loss is dramatic. And it's hard to guess a price top, and when it come down (it feels that other traders margin calls dragging price higher and higher, so timing is...

Natural gas looking like MEME stock!

It's very scary market, 27-28 september I felt like it's trading ahead of New Year, nothing happened mostly, no hurricanes, factory explosions, but so panic and chaotic movements. Noticed for me for future, that September to end of February are dangerous period on NG market.

Are There Any Prop Firms/Funded Trader Programs For Options Traders?

I think they have access to all exchanges I need. But yes, my small strategy, even if it slightly like their approaches, probably not worth extra discussions and approvals between a bunch of shareholders and departments.

Are There Any Prop Firms/Funded Trader Programs For Options Traders?

I think the biggest props like Jump Trading, Optiver or Citadel Capital can have access to almost all exchanges in the world, but probably their appetites are much higher than 200k from trader (in my humble opinion)

Are There Any Prop Firms/Funded Trader Programs For Options Traders?

In response, I would like to ask the following question... If I coming to some prop firm (in US or in London for example) with "non-standard" idea to trade something in derivatives on emerging market exchanges (for example India, Korea, Brazil and etc.) or even crypto exchanges... Then what is...

    crack spread in IB

I found it, i can type in a ticker row "clq1-bzq1" for example, and it finds exchange-listed wti/brent spread pity that formula "cln1-bzq1" not working, although it's more likely to wti/brent spread of front month contracts

Different shades of CME natural gas futures

Yes, there is a volume about 30k contracts per day. And i'm seeing live bid and ask prices in terminal, they always differ from NG prices, can't figure out why
