Hi I just got the answer from IB chat help desk. I had to login to account management for my live trading account, Manage Account > Settings > Paper Trading Then i had to tick the box saying : Share real-time market data subscriptions with paper trading account. All working now.

I went short ES before data covered 2 points off low. Then proceeded to short it at 1915, but in 2 lots as opposed to the 1 lot that I had for the initial short. Am still short the 2 lots. I will stay short I believe for a few days.

Does IB allow a trader to create an option order on ES Futures options on Globex through their API and to amend that order using their api? Or would this breach some sort of exchange rule?

THe Market will make a small correction around this time, this thread will be on fire for the 1% to 3% correction, then the thread dies as the market trends higher again

I do just this. I trade, spreading options all the time. Have been doing so for 3 months now. Using Nasdaq index options as an example i might buy the 2700 strike call and close with the 2720 strike call. I end up with spaghetti, but continuously try to keep it made up of long butterfly...
