Someone on ET could make a good livign just programming for people. Although they would have to give up trading, and be able to convince people that they would never share the ideas or ever trade them.

I use the API for a grey box. You should have access to a sample spreadsheet that shows you how to pull quotes. I assume you have signed up with Dimension already?

Just remember that error fills on ecn's don't get reversed in pre/post market so double and triple check your prices before sending.

I believe there is an order type that funds/floor guys can enter that tell the specialist to do the double prints. "Buy 10k with double prints" type of thing. That just takes the guess work out of how to get the fill. I could be wrong though.

The '87 crash couldn't have been so violent without portfolio insurance which isn't a factor these days. IMO the only way we could see something like that again would be from a market malfunction that exchanges aren't able to stop...sort of like the Globex problems but on a much larger scale.

Just to give an example here's approximately what you can get at the place I trade remote from: $5k deposit .65cps before volume rebates 100% payout onsite training (OPG, filters etc) No bashing, just facts. This deal or better is not hard to find these days. Good luck Don.
