Trendy No reason at all why his stochastics method shouldn't be applied to equities as well as futures. You just need good liquidity. Jack focussed on a minimum 65 day average volume of 300k. We were not using stochastics when trading together last year. It was based around stock selection...

Dawg, Jack's method for trading equities is long only. He focusses on growth stocks, based on CANSLIM criteria. He trades futures from a "neutral standpoint" i.e. both long and short. David

Trendy, I followed Jack's method for trading equities for six months. Traded 2 months for real. The results are all posted on the msn group in 2 P&L spreadsheets, along with charts for the trades. I was not able to maintain profitability. Jack Hershey's Books

None of Jack's books are on trading. Fact. The simplest way to get the answers that you require is to ask Jack in a civilised manner. Be patient and persistent, or put him on ignore if you prefer. Flames will not help.

For clarity of signals, I trade Jack's method on the close of each 5 min bar.

Alain Please correct me if I'm wrong but trading on the close of 5 min bars in real time should give the same results.

Jem, Are you assuming that the data might have changed in some way between 10am and 1pm e.g. a data correction? Otherwise, I would expect signals to remain in place as they appeared earlier. BTW, the spreadsheet was generated simply by stepping through the 5 min bars and using closing values...
