Bride of If You Can Draw A Straight Line

For those who hung around, there was a short trigger at 1014. This was stopped out at 1016. After that, there was a supply line break at 1027. No long trigger. 1031, demand line break. 1037, short trigger. 1038, new swing low. Edit: 1047, supply line break, exit at BE. 1048...

Actually, you shouldn't. If you want to look at just T&S, fine, but the "depth" of the market is irrelevant. Or you could just plot a 1t chart and set it off to the side to be used only when entering a trade or managing an exit trigger.

    Technical Analysis Logical Flaws

Whether or not the ACD thread is popular and whether or not anybody there is making a living with it is beside the point. Woodie's CCI used to be popular. VSA used to be popular. Joe Granville's OBV used to be popular. The ORB used to be popular. And the list goes on. There's a great deal of...

    Technical Analysis Logical Flaws

If by "TA" you mean indicators, then, yes, they often misrepresent what price is saying. But it doesn't take anywhere near 10,000 hours to learn how to read price, particularly if the trader is new (if he's experienced, it takes much longer). If indicators take less time and/or are easier...

I suggest you go over a few days' PA and examine those points at which you would have scratched and note which of those trades would have amounted to something if you hadn't scratched and which would have just lain there. Of those that went on to a worthwhile and tradeable move, what exactly...

Bride of If You Can Draw A Straight Line

No. Wrong. There are no "other times". Learn to scratch. Be completely at ease with it. Once you're out, you can always get back in. There is no "breathe" here. Just get out. If you can't do that, you're wasting your time here and you're back where you started. Before you can swim, you first...

This is not easy for most. Their egos won't allow them to scratch. But it's absolutely essential if one is going to be successful long-term.

Bride of If You Can Draw A Straight Line

Aside from all the lines and scratches, don't lose sight of the fact that price has gone nowhere for an hour. It's perfectly okay to say "enough" and come back some other time.
