    From what I've been reading a debt default would cause interest rates to jump thus bond prices would fall. I've also read that the dollar would fall as well. Wouldn't this cause stocks to rise? Traditionally stocks rise when bonds fall. Lately the stock market has risen when the dollar...

    Isn't he really just getting some of his taxes back? He won 2 mil in the lottery, probably had to pay 1 mil in taxes. So he's really just getting some of his taxes back via food stamps.

    I assume you're selling cash secured puts and covered calls? Selling puts for the purpose of aquiring stock at the strike price or keeping the premium. Selling calls against the shares you own for the purpose of disposing of them at the strike price or keeping the premium.

    In 1970 the average price of a car was around $3900. Today it's around $30,000. So based on this, in 40 years we can roughly expect a car to cost $300,000? Better hope our retirement savings and investments keep up with inflation.
