    Noisy power supply fan

So is this something where I could just poke the little straw thing on the end of my can of WD-40 in near the fan and squirt away, or is it something where I have to remove the power supply and dismantle it to get at the fan? Thanks in advance, Banker

    Noisy power supply fan

Tom's Hardware recommends a few: http://www4.tomshardware.com/howto/20021021/powersupplies-15.html How do I know which one will fit my computer? Or will any of them work? I don't know if it makes a difference or not, but my Dell Dimension 4400 has a Pentium 4 2.0 Ghz in it. Banker

    Noisy power supply fan

Hmmm.... Judging by the replies I think I should get a new power supply. No sense risking a meltdown. I have a Dell Dimension 4400. I need enough juice to power my Radeon 9500 Pro video card too. Is that a easy part to find? Thanks again, Banker

    Noisy power supply fan

Thanks for the quick responses. It looks like the fan is pretty well integrated with the power supply itself. I think that if I can't "fix" it, I will have to replace the power supply, not just the fan. Does this sound correct to you also? Thanks again, Banker

Can a power supply fan be lubricated? If so, what is the best way? Thanks in advance, Banker

    All Time Highs

I see. To get a broader list you can have 52 week high = All Time High. Then you can look at stocks which are basing etc. near their all time highs too. I don't know what kind of trading you like to do though. Best of luck to you, Banker

    Classic trading books

I just want to thank everyone for their help again. I have many books to buy, which is what I am after. With that Traders' Masterclass - Prentice Hall bit, I did a Google for it. It ended up linking me to a book at Amazon.com...

    All Time Highs

For those maybe the Prophet.net screener will work? I also do a screen where 52 week % change = N/A at Multex: http://www.multexinvestor.com/nscreen/builder.asp That screening variable will list all the IPOs from less than 1 year. It also turns up some weird ones that are not IPOs...

Cool, thanks. I sent them an email asking if I could buy that issue or article from them. I hope it works out. If not, if someone has those two pages and a scanner.... That would be cool. Thanks for the tip, Banker

    All Time Highs

I haven't tried it, but it looks like you can do it here: http://www.prophet.net/scans/priceScans.jsp You could also look for new 5 year highs at MSN with their screener: http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/invsub/finder/finderx.asp?Query=SV1QF3Z04F158Z&Name=Search2&Tickers=200 At...

    Classic trading books

Nothing? I even emailed John Wiley & Sons, Inc. I didn't hear from them either. When I bought "Reminiscences" and "The Battle for Investment Survival" they are both published by Wiley as part of their Wiley Investment Classics series. You would think this would include more than 2 books...

    LLCs - your experiences?

I don't know about trading through an LLC, but in general I have found that doing business as that form of entity has been fairly productive. I have also found a way to help keep Uncle Sam out of your pocket a bit. Try having your LLC taxed as a corporation instead of a partnership. Then...
