    Old Resistance/New Support

SMTS is one example I am watching. After a "breakout from base" I look for a pullback with lighter volume than the breakout and I also watch to see if that pullback is finding support at or above a prior resistance level. -Chart attached- Banker

    Computer maintenence

Thank you Diode. I think I will pick up a spare hard drive and do it that way in case I forget anything. That is a good idea. I'll search around for things I want to keep. Thanks again, Banker

    Computer maintenence

Thanks. I hope my computer holds up that long. I would definitely be willing to pay the $10 to buy the disk. It's such a pain to go through the process. I will check the Windows Catalog section in a few months. Banker

    Computer maintenence

I can handle that. I have replaced RAM, processors, video cards, modems, etc. My fear was the DOS environment. I also wonder if the CD drive will just be able to boot without drivers. Perhaps it's all universal these days or something. Maybe I'll build a new PC, that would be a good...

    Computer maintenence

Wow, thanks again! I think I'm all set. I have printed off both of your posts, and saved them to My Documents as well. At some point I will take the leap. You have a real talent for speaking 'tech' to non-techies. I hope other people find your information as helpful as I did. How do I...

    Computer maintenence

Thanks again! I will build my next PC as a quiet one. Those types of noises do annoy me. Did you just Google for step by step instructions on building your PC? I'm trying to think about what I all want to save prior to doing the clean install. The My Documents folder is obvious. I also...

    Computer maintenence

Wow, this is Great! Thank you very much. Here I thought I had to go into DOS modes to reformat and stuff. Glad it's not like that at all. I'm going to print out these instructions. Thanks again, Banker

Is there a book like "doing the above for dummies"? Even these instructions are over my head. I am really interested in taking these (or similar) precautions, but have absolutely no idea what to do. Thanks in advance for any further help, Banker

    Pullback Entry Strategy

As far as I am concerned you can use this thread however you wish. I decided to go without rules and definitions for pullback entries, so my work is done here. Banker

    TSCM - Monthly Pullback Candidate

I agree, a higher reaction low would be nice. I suppose if you look at it post "breakout" there is one. Pretty minor though. I decided the swelling volume with the bullish wide range bar were enough evidence to place the buy stop. It's nearly impossible to find the "perfect" setup or...

    TSCM - Monthly Pullback Candidate

This is the first time that I have traded this setup. I'll post here when I exit the trade. It's kind of difficult to stomach the idea of buying into all of that congestion on the daily chart. I think it's necessary to make some assumptions when trading pullbacks though. I bought ARLC...

    Pullback Entry Strategy

I detailed a Pullback trade idea for TSCM in this thread in the TA section of Elite Trader: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=406262#post406262 I decided to do pullbacks as discretionary entries and skip the rigid rules. Thanks to everyone for their ideas. Banker

    TSCM - Monthly Pullback Candidate

I'm just thinking about a simple trade with TSCM. -Buy when it crosses the white line to the upside. -Set an initial sell stop below the yellow line to get me out of the trade if I am wrong. The bet is that the long term trend will resume if TSCM trades above the white line. I...
