i wouldn't say the DAX is the most volitale market, the HSI in Hong Kong is way more volitale than the DAX, also has cheaper margin, the spread is usually 3-5 ticks, the range every five minutes is usually 20 ticks at least. that's a market that really moves.

sounds like you are new to bond and note futures, if you are going to start in them look at the ZF, plenty of volume, low margin and it won't kick you ass as much, moves a little slow, so you would have to have a little patience.

i use a similar strategy, except i use a WMA, on a 5 minute chart, for the setup and 1 min chart for the entry, on the YM. i also use MACD on a 3,20,8 setting to help confirm the trade.
