    Bitcoin thread anyone?

Yes, I disagree. If you take a look at the recent FinCen ruling, from what I understand, as long as you are paying taxes on your gains, then OK. There is also KYC/AML for the largest exchanges now, so really, you aren't going to be anonymous totally unless you are buying straight cash to a...

    Bitcoin thread anyone?

In the back of my mind I am thinking someone/group of people might know something about the acceptance of coins to large retail establishments in the near future. There could be some big news in store that is making the insiders buy like crazy. Perhaps, when that news hits, then we will sell...

    Bitcoin thread anyone?

I've done well for having no job really and being in school. I was sick for 2 years before that, so I really haven't had much income or anything fun to do with much cash. I'll probably sell a few (literally) and fly to vegas or something and get a hooker. Maybe some blow, if I'm lucky. My...

    Bitcoin thread anyone?

I personally think it's always a good time to buy. Once a month, done well for me so far, but I know I could lose 75%+ in the next month. I am prepared to buy as much as I can on the next crash.

    Bitcoin thread anyone?

I will be a millionaire around $8500 per coin. It will be parabolic enough for me then. It will probably go up $500 a coin the second after I sell it, too.

    Bitcoin thread anyone?

I agree with this. Ask 100 random people, maybe 5 have heard of it. At school, when I talk about BTC, maybe 1 out of 20 have heard about it. That is 19-30 age range. I think we have a long ways to go higher.

atticus, when will you buy back into BTC? we need your kind of money in this market to keep the train moving.

    Bitcoin thread anyone?

I think you would be better off just DCA'ing like I do. Bitcoin is revolutionary in design. It is basically impossible to stop p2p transactions on this decentralized network. Just think about it. There are only 21,000,000 coins. They can be split up into .000000001 each. Bitcoin is going...

    Bitcoin thread anyone?

In the 10 minutes between conversations the price has jumped $5.00 How long would you be willing to lose money betting against this? Seems really stupid, honestly. Everyone thinks they can pick the top. I admit this will come down sometime, but when? And to what price? There is a SHITLOAD...

    Bitcoin thread anyone?

Always keep your own coins ecrypted in your own wallet. End of problem. I agree, though, I wouldn't trust anyone but yourself in the wild west of bitcoins. But, if valuations hold, BTC could be at $1,000 before you know it. tl;dr dont give anyone your btc and be weary of shorting this bitch

    Bitcoin thread anyone?

So true. These backups in queue in Mt. Gox can either be from new participants, or people looking to cash out that have not indeed verified yet. My guess, though, would be that most of these are brand new accounts waiting to buy. I can also see BTC at $75 each tomorrow. Just the nature...

BitCoin - Intellectual Fraud or a Stunning Idea??

How do you figure there are only 3 million coins in circulation? Besides the lost coins, all 11 million are in circulation. Yes, someone could slam the price with 200,000 coins. Yeah, real smart, just a little bit of slippage there. These thoughts have been gone over ad infinitum, while...

BitCoin - Intellectual Fraud or a Stunning Idea??

There is tons of opportunity, but good luck transferring all the coins and converting currencies on the fly. I am assuming some do this, but the best opportunities are with CNY currency, last check was like $15 above Mt Gox price after converting. There are also opportunities with btc-e.com...

BitCoin - Intellectual Fraud or a Stunning Idea??

There is a thread somewhere detailing just this. I think it is estimated that around 250,000 coins are lost forever? I may be off by around 100k though, hard to remember exactly what the total was. GL "hacking" bitcoin, whatever that means. Exchanges, yes, that do not utilize cold storage.

BitCoin - Intellectual Fraud or a Stunning Idea??

Good luck with all that. Everywhere is basically AML/KYC compliant unless you buy from local people. I would say 85% of the community transacts with AML/KYC regulations. There is nothing new here.
