Non-trend and choppy days would be better for divergence setups since they will usually produce much more direction changes than trend days. Divergence is one of the setups I trade. Unfortunately, I mistakenly dismissed some of the good signals today so I didn't end up with much green :)

As in everything else you start slow and small, build your REAL trading experience and slowly grow to trade more contracts. Of course, it's all depends, how much you are willing to risk for what kind of gains.

Different setups, timeframes, trading methods, bias, etc. require different stops. I would decide on a stop according to the setup and the timeframe I see it in. That may be 5 points, 20 or more. TM Trader
