More fed give away to those who brought big homes

yea those nice big 400K+ homes? OK, let's take a 400,000 mortgage @ 6% Payments are 2400/month Taking the full 700 million into account, that's 291667 months which means that would pay 10000 people's mortgage for the next 2.5 years. Or 20,000 for 14 months. Maybe we can help out a...

`Buy and Bail' Homeowners Get Past Loan Restrictions

Homestead or not, the mortgage is written on that home. So that's the collateral. Even people who simply move who may list the other property for sale stop paying on it too...house doesn't sell, home gets foreclosed on because they didn't consider any other plan. Credit may be shot, but...

Man Receiving Unemployment Benefits Refuses Over A Dozen Job Offers

It's a gambling game. Do you turn down that lower paying job now and ride out the benefits "hoping" you get something closely better, or "take what you can get" for a while and try to live off of it... Or do you get a better skill set or get into something that potentially can pay a lot...

is the US the next Argentina?

"contracts" don't mean crap if there's no money to honor them. If anything they were a way to keep these people working, because not many else I bet would have taken some of those jobs during those decades.

    mortgage bailout coming next week???

Fannie, Freddie & FHA basically ARE the mortgage market right now. With that, comes the power to control who gets what and where. We'll cut your old mortgage down...but what will YOU pay in the end. We'll give you a loan...but on our terms now.

$600 MILLION more going towards bailing out those in foreclosure!!

If each homeowner's mortgage is paid in full based on these numbers, these amounts will last, at best, 1-2 years. Throw a few partials, 2-3 years. Of course, other states may need to be bailed out next. Then back to these again. So, live in your home maybe for 2-3 more years, then...

America end up REDUCING minimum wages as becomes harder to hire illegal immigrants?

nope. Just don't expect many to be hired, not give any type of benefits, or have the wages raised anytime this decade despite higher taxes and COL standards. Soon 2 jobs won't be enough. You'll need 3/80-90 hours a week plus at minimum wage to barely stay afloat (or above the poverty line).
