    Time and Sales?

    Esignal provides volume data for forex in the form of the number of ticks per bar for all intraday bars (240, 120, 60, etc). They do not do the same for daily bars...why I do not know. Because of the decentralization of the forex markets, there is no way to know the total worldwide volume...

    seattle traders

    I'm in Seattle part-time. I've had a chance to trade emails with a few other Seattle-area traders, but no one has gotten together that I'm aware of. There are a bunch of traders up in Vancouver as well. We met once for drinks, and another group (mostly forex) has met several other times.

    C vs. C++

    I am definitely not stating that I am an expert in Python but I do know what you are getting at. And I did not imply you are a missionary for replacing C, C++, Java or C#@&?. However, I do stick by my contention that imho, you aren't being helpful.

    C vs. C++

    I'm not finding it particularly helpful. Let's go back to your Python arguments. You said in your first, relatively non-confrontational post: "Comparing Java and C# against C and C++ I must say that I cannot really see any improvement in looking at the way this changed the length of code...

    I get the feeling that LongShot and nononsense may be related. :D

    C vs. C++

    I am pretty much inline with your opinion axeman. I have pretty extensive experience in Java, C++, and Python in high-performance and DB tasks and I don't understand where nononsense is coming from on this. They are all actually very useful languages, but there's a time and place for every tool.

    C vs. C++

    I just mean that most people are looking for someone who has alot more than just a firm grasp of the language syntax, or even basic usage. Most jobs out there that I see require you to know how to accomplish some particular type of task using that language, ie usage applied.

    C vs. C++

    Lots of work out there, but the language knowledge is only a small part. PM me if you want with more specific info...

    C vs. C++

    Depending on what you are doing, give Java a try too. The syntax is similar and it runs extremely well under Linux.

    the start of FOREX

    Nothing for me with GFT, I tried their platform but was dismayed with the lack of trailing stops in the demo of v2 and left to try other things. But maybe that leaves me in the top 30 also? :P I'm intrigued by some info that FXCM may have an API though...writing some new software lately...
