    Real Estate: Fundamentals

I guess you don't really read what's being posted. This is what Hydroblunt has said: "I do not think people understand that renting is way cheaper than buying and it really does not matter if you get to own your home in 20-30 years when you pay up the a$$ for it with fees, taxes & insurance."

    Real Estate: Fundamentals

What are you talking about? I watch CNBC everyday and I find them to be very neutral on real estate. I don't see them hyping anything. They have guests who come on from both sides. Some of them may try to hype it up, while others may call it a bubble. Real estate is a rising...

    Real Estate justifiably beats inflation?

Your suggestion on whether real estate be a good proxy for the *true inflation rate and perhaps even justifiably exceeding it, is a bunch of mumble jumble. You said "over the long run, real estate land values should do two things: grow at at least inflation, and grow at a rate in order to...

    Real Estate justifiably beats inflation?

Your question is almost meaningless. You didn't mention location, nor timing. Your answer depends completely on whether you purchased in US or in Japan, in California or in Kansas, in LA or in Barstow, in year 1995 or year 2005. Each property / neighborhood / city / county / state /...

    Boston Real Estate

Expanding I-93 would be a good thing for areas north of Salem. However, they were talking about it when I was there, and there hasn't been any action. So I won't get too excited about it. Manchester is a nice place, but it's too cold for me. :)

    Boston Real Estate

I don't live in NH anymore. I sold my 3000sf colonial there in Salem 2 years ago and moved to So Cal. Let's just say, there is no comparison between the appreciation in NH, MA, and So Cal. It's like comparing peanuts to a watermellon.

    Boston Real Estate

In general, the further north you go, the cheaper homes are. However, you have to balance it out with your commute. Salem, Pelham, and Windham are good places to start. Each town is different. Pelham being the cheapest, and Windham being the most expensive.

    Housing Market Takes a Hit

If you sold your net stocks when the rates went up in early 2000, you would have made a ton of money like me. With the low rates of today, you got nothing to fear except for fear itself. :D You can't be the next Donald Trump by being a chicken little. :D
