That switch should have never arced like that. There most likely was a load on the line. There is a “whip” attached to the arm which stays in contact until the main contact opens. Very little arcing in normal situation.

I think it has something to do with Mar’s atmosphere...parachutes don’t work as well on Mars. I’m sure they know what their doing.

That’s what comes up when you select “Vertical” for type of option trade. I use TOS also.. I wasn’t able to open the short leg due to balance requirements. When doing individual positions. I was able to do the trade as a vertical tho. You could try open long leg first, then the short.
