    Impossible to Beat?

It is amazing that this poll received as many votes has it has. I will now uncover the truth. Deadreader was correct. Mystery 2 was a chart of Ebay through late June 2003. Mystery 1 was the random chart. So, it seems that according to the polling whereas it was 2:1 voting for Mystery 1...

    Poll: Long, Short, or Even

It is irrelevant to try to predict future movement. Just random noise at this point.

    Impossible to Beat?

One particular note: the randomly generated chart was done by formula via Excel and transfered over. The numbers chosen in it were not manually inputed. The spreadsheet formula can replicate a variety of charts that are immistakeable from the real thing.

    Impossible to Beat?

    Market interviews holding position

How can interviewers verify whether the analysts/managers/execs. they are talking to are telling the truth as to what positions they may have in a stock they are talking about? I am sure they do not have the power to audit the firms involved. So when a fund manager says he is holding a staking...

    Interesting new trading/gambling concept

I found a site, Xodds.com, that has an interesting twist on trading. Although it is structured as a futures/option market the trades are executed as betting gambles, where one does not actually own the underlying securities at any time. Its trades are in several different markets: forex...

Hi, I am no lawyer but the best way to do it is explicitly write in a contract that you are an amateur and that he absolves you from any legal/financial liability for any decisions he makes in taking your recommedations. As to potential profit, just state that he will compensate you as he...

    Incredible!?

Quote from NYT about research analysts: --For many analysts, it's a little hard to swallow. Having tasted the fruits of the 1990's — fame, television, deals and money — some are beginning to wonder if the 100-hour weeks are worth the effort. "There is just nothing attractive about the...
